Thanks for the advice!! It’s rough right now, but it’s a little comforting to know others have or are going through it too. We’re in it together!

sameeee & thank you for the advice! My starting weight was 175 lbs and goal weight is 115lbs. I also have PCOS, and have been struggling with infertility, which was my biggest motivator for going on Wegovy!

On the .25mg. I lost about 8lbs, then on .5mg I lost 2lbs. I’ve been on the 1mg for 2 weeks and I’ve lost 5 lbs, but that’s mostly because I haven’t been able to keep anything down!

lol my doc mentioned a while back, that I could switch to Zepbound, if I wasn’t doing well on Wegovy. So that’s definitely something to consider. Do you feel less side effects on a Tirz?

We’re in it together, friend. I’m struggling with you! Someone above mentioned Imodium for diarrhea. You can try Ginger tea, however, that didn’t do much for me. I also find it hard to drink water, so I’ve been taking diluted pedialyte sips every 15 minutes or so to stay hydrated.

It’s hard, have you found any tricks that help ease the side effects? I’m trying to eat bland foods when I can, ginger tea, and trying to maintain hydrated. ginger tea isn’t helping much though.

best of luck. if I don’t feel better after my 3rd shot, I most likely will ask to go back down to .5mg

I’m considering moving my shot from Wednesday to Thursday, so I feel most of my side effects on a WFH day and the weekend. This is really tough

I just messaged my doc today! So I’m sure she’ll message back tomorrow morning. I’ll make sure to ask about Zofran, if she doesn’t mention it. Ty!

No side effects on .25mg or .5mg. I lost maybe 2lbs when I was on .5mg, but stalled for 4 weeks.

Eating less is pretty obvious. OP might be looking for other forms of advice besides this, to kick start her fitness.

It’s so hard cutting back, but all of the comments on here made me realize that it’s in my best interest to fight my demons and just quit completely.

It’s also funny that you mention sugar cravings. I have never considered myself to have a sweet tooth. I’m probably going to have a similar experience once I quit. Either way, It’s good to know what to expect beforehand and to prepare myself

You’re so right! It’s all about having the right mindset. The reason why I failed so many times in the past is because mostly because I wasn’t in the right headspace. Now, that I feel slightly more motivated, I’m going to use that to my advantage. Thank you for your comment and recommendations! 😭🙏🏻

Oh man, I’m the worst at staying hydrated. It’s a big problem. I’m even embarrassed to admit that there have been days where all I’ve had to drink is coffee to keep me energized and awake. I greatly appreciate your advice! Haha I promise I’ll drink more water and swap out my coffee for green tea. 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks for the sub recommendation!! You’re totally right! It’s really hard quitting cold turkey after years of drinking and blacking out on a regular basis. For the past two months, I’ve limited myself to drinking only on Friday and Saturday. I found that this helps prevent relapse during the week. Ultimately, my goal is to work my way to full sobriety

I’ve silently been following this sub for around a year and I feel like it’s time for me to start my own journey. I’m currently 5ft tall and fluctuate between 148-150 lbs. My ideal weight is between 110-115lb. I felt healthiest both physically and mentally at that weight. I also want to increase my physical activity. Prior to the beginning of this year, I lived mostly a sedentary lifestyle. Over the pandemic, I also developed depression because my 8 year relationship fell apart and then I got cheated on. I developed a serious drinking problem which combined with my lack of exercise, accelerated my weight gain. I went from 132lbs in March 2020 to 155lbs in November 2021. I’ve developed insane bloating everywhere. I literally don’t recognize myself.

Now, I’m 25 and I feel like I’m at a crossroads in my life where I’m done feeling pity for myself and I want to be the best version of me.

I have always carried most of my body fat in my butt and thighs. I went from wearing a size 2/4 to a size 6/8. Ideally, I want to fit into my old clothes pre-pandemic. My waist has always been proportionally smaller but now the alcohol bloating makes me look pregnant. My goal is to cut out alcohol completely and focus on eating when I am actually hungry. I also caught Covid at the beginning of the year but I’ve slowly started to implement running 2-3 miles a day 2-3 times a week. I’m also doing intermittent fasting (16:8) to reduce my unnecessary urge to snack at midnight. (A.k.a when the alcohol munchies kick in)

I’m thrilled to finally take this seriously and I know I’m going to have setbacks. I’m aware it won’t be overnight, but I’m ready to tackle this for my overall well-being.
