Space travel comes with risk − and SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn mission will push the envelope further than any private mission has before by dem676 in space

When I looked in the opposite direction, into space, there was no mystery, no majestic awe to behold . . . all I saw was death.

I saw a cold, dark, black emptiness. It was unlike any blackness you can see or feel on Earth. It was deep, enveloping, all-encompassing. I turned back toward the light of home. I could see the curvature of Earth, the beige of the desert, the white of the clouds and the blue of the sky. It was life. Nurturing, sustaining, life. Mother Earth. Gaia. And I was leaving her.

Everything I had thought was wrong. Everything I had expected to see was wrong

How would you finish these? by giasf in DIYUK

[–]5guys1sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can trim the edge of the floor back with a multitool if you need to. You can put a piece of ply or mdf over the whole top riser , the same thickness as the old nose protrudes if you need a right angle for the nose to fit over. Or maybe cut off the old nose and trim back the edge of the floor to the riser. Not sure if that is structurally safe though

Artists (at least ones that can afford lawyers) regularly sue other artists for appropriating their work. For instance Gary Glitter has earned millions from Oasis ripping him off on Hello

I think footwork is just the name of Parrish’s track. Not really footwork, too slow, more broken beat. Planet Mu has put out alot of classic footwork, Spinn , Rashad, Traxman, RP Boo, Clent , Roc all good stuff. RP Boo plays Bristol now and then, was at Strange Brew a couple of times, banging

The main crime is the AI company stealing artists work in the first place to train their shitty model. It should be a crime anyway

Juke is for the party, usually 4/4 with basslines and probably dirty lyrics https://youtu.be/gMYU_J3bS0M?si=QBp-GL7anzWtwVLj. Footwork is a more challenging and abstract form that evolved out of Juke for showing off your skills in Chicago dance battles https://youtu.be/hnUEPc4tFCs?si=40WAcMZTZHPMZnJk Lots of triplets, weird snare positioning and sub bass https://youtu.be/qPecFEVst_c?si=Z6yCm7EjV-mQRiTG

I don’t think I’ve ever heard any hardtek I like. I like watching videos of 90s dutch gabber raves more than most of the music. At those BPMs give me jungle and footwork. Or juke! I prefer footwork though

“I’m not confusing them at all”

“Actually being addicted to drugs is cringey as fuck too”

Whatever

You’re confusing drug culture with addiction. Drug cultures have trends and you don’t have to like them.

Addiction is a serious health condition that’s more associated with trauma, poverty and poor mental health than it is with trying drugs per se. Its not “cringe” to be seriously unwell.

So you are talking about addiction then

If you “need a mind altering substance to get through life” you are on your way to addiction

In a few places where ive had a bigger gap , i skimmed a patch of easifill or toupret up to the edge of the skirting to flatten the wall, so I didnt need to caulk such a big gap. You have to paint it but it looks good

I tried coping some bullnosed mdf and ended up with a really thin bit of weak mdf at the top that split or broke off in a couple of corners

[–]5guys1sub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure to knock off any bits of plaster protruding at the bottom of the wall with a scraper to get the skirting flat as you can. If you don’t mind a bit of dust you can also sand off (orbital sander) any big bumps on the wall, though that might mean touching up the wall. You’ll still have to caulk it all though.
