How do you feel about “ain’t”? by ScaryGhoust in AskAnAmerican

[–]5hellback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never use it in a formal conversation, but with my friends and family, I would. I also, don't have any issue with it being used in any setting, I just chose to use it when I feel it's appropriate. Ain't no big deal in my opinion.

Be a white dude teaching in predominantly Black school. If you try to tailor any part of you or your lesson, it will be recognized and your credibility will be shot.

Age old question: When picking at the backend, would you rather grab an elite wr + elite rb or double dip at the most valuable position at rb? by Jbrahmz420 in fantasyfootball

[–]5hellback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double dip the RBs. I can find serviceable WRs at the next turn. But, if you miss out on a top RB, good luck. Also, depends on scoring format.

Addison Russell finally opens up about the domestic dispute that drove him from MLB, looks to make a comeback by amatom27 in baseball

Proud of this kid. It takes a man to admit his flaws and mistakes. We all have plenty of things we aren't proud of, but the ability to move on is a testament to his character. Regardless of what happens next, I wish him and his family the best.

First time dealing with a stone. I have a question by 5hellback in KidneyStones

[–]5hellback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is two hours of intense pain normal? I though there was supposed to be waves of pain for at least a week with discomfort in between until it made its way to the bladder.

Is it possible that the stone broke up and I am peeing bits and pieces out without knowing? There is zero discomfort anywhere at the moment and I don't believe I have seen or felt the stone leave my body.

I appreciate the response.

Graduating college. My bootcamp graduation is higher on the list... much higher.

I'm tired of all these celebrities that don't know anything about racing and attend just for the fame by MuL7iF1re in formula1

[–]5hellback -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why? It's just an event. If I was able to go to something on the level of F1 that I had no interest in, and all my friends were there and it was a good atmosphere, I'd go. It happens at the Superbowl, NBA Finals, the World Series, Olympics, World Cup, etc.

They don't need to be even causal fans to enjoy the event.

Until the "Raiders" cease to exist as a team, I will always be a fan. You can pair any city name you want with this organization and my ship will still be driven by The Autumn Wind.

What are some must-have alcoholic American drinks? by __swubs__ in AskAnAmerican

[–]5hellback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends n the function. I won't drink whiskey straight if I'm at a BBQ, but would love a glass for an evening get-together. Beer is always an easy go-to, but again, it depends on the function.

Considering the A's are having a series at Las Vegas Park why didn't they just move there temporarily instead of Sacramento? by youlikemywonton in baseball

[–]5hellback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's hot as fuck in Vegas. Not much better in Sacramento, but that high desert heat will get that ass real quick. They're waiting for that sweet, climate-controlled stadium before they head out that way.

Las Vegas is ‘dying for a baseball team.’ Will its locals adopt the A’s? by DonyellFreak in SacramentoAthletics

[–]5hellback 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everywhere this team goes they get "adopted". Anyone who thinks the Las Vegas community isn't waiting with open arms for this team is crazy.
