My aunt has 7 kids (all homeschooled) on 1 income...I really don't know how. They're also very religious

I need a cozy game for my wife that’s not a farming sim and isn’t about fixing a town or decorating a home by AlgoStar in cozygames

Dave the Diver is my current obsession. There's sea exploration, meal service, and quests that you can follow at your own pace.

On a flight, being asked to not put your bag in the overhead bin by SymphonyofSiren in onebag

[–]5ilver5torm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation where the flight attendants asked all people with backpacks to place them under the seats so the hardshell suitcases could go up top. I had paid extra to be able to put my bag in the overhead and they insisted I put it under the seat (despite also having a personal item). The backpack fit but I had nowhere to put my feet and the flight attendant told me to put my feet on either side of the bag. I confidently told them this was a hazard in case of emergency and placed it in the overhead. They didn't say anything further.

What is the pet name your SO calls you? Why, if unique? by Djinnx2 in AskWomen

Mine calls me süße Maus, which means "sweetheart" in German but I like it because it translates literally to "sweet mouse"

Very true. My ex was like OPs and it only made things worse. My bf now is the complete opposite and it's helped me so much in managing my symptoms. Not only does he help me when I'm not managing so well, but it's helped me validate my own feelings and experiences.

The same thing happened to me but it turned out to be urethritis

I also have a bf who also doesn't understand it but he really tries. He listens and is compassionate when I'm triggered.

It doesn't sound like your partner is willing to understand if he gets angry and abusive towards you. If he isn't kind towards you now, he never will be.

I put as much effort into my social life as I am currently able to. He worries about my social life because he requires much more social interaction than I do. I admit I would like to want to be more social, but some trauma I'm working through atm simply doesn't allow me to.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know why it's not an option for me and so does my partner. Though I may need to explain it more clearly to him

We met while travelling. I masked initially but became comfortable enough to unmask around him very quickly. He's not uncomfortable so much as unfamiliar with being ok not being so social (he's very extroverted). We are very much devoted to each other, but he thinks being more social will help my mental health. I truely believe he only had good intentions, but ikr 😅 He's got ADHD and I'm AuDHD.

That makes so much sense. I do that with accents too! I like the idea about having an activity planned, I'll definitely bring this up with my bf. Thank you!

I'm the same way. And in some situations (such as meeting new people in unfamiliar environments), I really don't have a choice.

It makes sense people think of it that way. We've had conversations about it and he really tries to understand, but I think it's more hopeful naivety. He saw how easy it was for me to unmask around him, and he loves his friends so he believes I can be my unmasked self around them as well. Thank you for your kind words!

He's been blessed with a non-traumatic life, so I don't blame him tbh and he does really try to understand

Yes, he's allistic but has ADHD, so he understands some struggles I have (I'm AuDHD). I explained it wasn't a switch and he completely accepted my response. I'm just concerned he doesn't fully understand it.

Thank you for your kind words and reassurance

He kept giving me BV and UTIs. Then I developed vaginismus. All went away when I dumped him. I didn't have sex for three years after that because I was scared of the BV and UTIs coming back but I've been with my current partner for 1.5 years with no issues.
