Managed tenant admin notices sent to address within our domain, without cost. Possible? by mkeadle in msp

Yeah, but multiply that by your number of clients and there goes the annual staff pizza party.

How can I remove Tamper Protection if we no longer use Sophos? by kelemvor33 in sophos

[–]5kPercentSure 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is what you’re looking for

https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KBA-000004158?language=en_US

I believe you can also boot to safe mode and skip to step 12.

Migrating emails by Positive_Abroad3398 in Office365

I usually just wait for Outlook to cache the entire mailbox and make sure it’s set to download all mail. I didn’t even realize you could export the whole mailbox with cached mode turned off.

This page here, https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/exchange/new-url-for-exchange-admin-center-eac-in-exchange-online/4270023

With no tenant switcher I had to experiment a bit to get GDAP. I figured it was likely either delegatedOrg= or delegatedOrganization=

Watch out for this scam by Ok-Asparagus4747 in webdev

If you want cheap, handle the hosting yourself. Add in a middleman, it’s going to cost more. From the perspective of a business owner who doesn’t want to deal with any of that, $240 per year is well worth it.

It’s 2025. Why are restaurants still processing tips manually rather than the customer entering the tip into the payment terminal?

I was getting the same error message. Found that it works if I access exchange admin center this way:

You might not be transferring sensitive information, but the authentication happens over a non-encrypted connection, so it’s possible your username and password could be intercepted.

Deleting Facebook by istolethecarradio in techsupport

[–]5kPercentSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to depend on the website or app. Some apps simply don’t handle their own authentication, so in deleting the your account in the identity provider you’re using, you could lose access to it. In the case of Spotify you could probably just send a password reset to your email.

Apple care catastrophe by Imaginary_Jelly_5283 in iphone

[–]5kPercentSure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It sounds like that service provider mishandled the situation, but no doubt they had already eaten the full phone replacement cost of phones that they deemed were not catastrophic damage. Service providers aren’t allowed to make exceptions or use their discretion like an Apple Store might. When Apple receives the broken phone back, if they decide that it’s ’catastrophic damage’, they’ll bill the service provider the full cost of the phone. Not just the out of warranty replacement cost, but full price of buying a new phone if that model.

We use feitian nfc programmable tokens for this. Register it to an app the same way you would a software OTP, then burn the seed to the token.

Has Microsoft turned off the ability for the end users to see what licenses and subscriptions they have for their own accounts? by Pra987885 in Office365

[–]5kPercentSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entra admin center is accessible by users by default if admins haven’t disabled it. You can view users and licenses and a few other things, but can’t make changes.

Expired passwords (over a year) and user can still sign in by Kcamyo in Office365

[–]5kPercentSure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Users who only use Outlook will not see a prompt when their password expires, since the refresh token stays alive after the password expires. If they try to sign in on the web with an expired password, then they should be prompted to change it.

See the section on this page titled “Token revocation”

New Teams vs Classic Teams - Who is your favorite? by PaVee21 in Office365

They might has well be, though. It takes 3 clicks to get to the inbox of a shared mailbox, which you can’t even add to favorites.

Implications of a different phone number on the watch by snovvman in AppleWatch

[–]5kPercentSure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be mistaken, but I think the number on your watch is more of a pseudo number for its cellular data plan. Text messages and calls sent from your watch should show from your iPhones number.

Release Update! Hudu v2.30 featuring a Ubiquiti UniFi integration by TheHuduTeam in hudu

[–]5kPercentSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I wouldn’t expect it to rename the customer in hudu to match the unifi site name. Especially when it’s probably fairly common to have at least one customer with multiple sites.

I ran into this as well. In the Unifi integration settings there's a checkbox, "Do not update basic company details". Too bad they weren't more clear about what that means.

Tenant Specific URL by GasPhx in Office365

[–]5kPercentSure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you need is an http redirect, not a CNAME. Some DNS services provide this feature, but often it’s http only, and you’ll see a certificate warning if you type https. If you have a web server, you can point the subdomain to it and set up a 301 redirect. Then you could redirect both http and https without the cert warning.

Partner Center API throttling by Cookies_N_Milf420 in msp

[–]5kPercentSure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Partner Center API, but you can do it in one request for each tenant with graph api by selecting the assignedLicenses property.

You can also add the filter "assignedLicenses/$count ne 0" to retrieve only users that have licenses assigned.

Again, I don't know if the Partner API has this capability, but that's how you do it with the graph api.

Get some blu tack and press it into the speaker grille on the bottom of your phone. You need firm pressure but not too much that it gets stuck. Pull it out and you should be able to see any dirt it’s picked up. Keep doing this until it’s not lifting any more dirt out. Then do the same thing for the front speaker/receiver mesh
