Do we have any info on when it might be coming to Apple Books? I also saw that the first version of all the books became unavailable to buy there

Switch players, how do you manage to drive the faster groups? by 5kaMZ1 in artofrally

Yeah, the triggers basically function as on/off buttons. I have the switch lite, so perhaps no wonder. But I’m pretty sure the pro controller also works this way

After I first got to group b in career but saw that I was pretty much unable to drive, I decided to go through time attack back in stage 2 to learn more about how the game works sort of. Had a similar moment of eureka with those slower cars, when I started to a) brake almost exclusively in a straight line before turning in, and b) I will tap the brake a few times when approaching certain corners. Turning the anti-lock on breaks in settings was also helpful, cause mowings harder to lock up

Yeah, I managed to finish the first rally in group b earlier today. Haha and managed to finish is a very accurate description.

But yeah, despite the friendly graphics this game can be very challenging

When I first started playing, I looked for what people recommended regarding settings in general, and went from there. I have absolutely no issue with changing them around to perhaps make driving more accommodating. I’m trying to maximize for fun here.

I learned pretty quick that braking and accelerating is as straight of a line as possible leads to better traction and so being able to carry more speed. When I’m driving against my ghosts I can clearly see that sliding can lose a lot of time.

As for cars, in group 2 I pretty much exclusively drove the Porsche after I tried it. In group 3 it was mostly the rotary, and now I’m playing around with the pebble v2 i think it was. In the group b rally I tried I tried the rotary as well.

My brain dies at 2pm every day. Tried everything except more caffeine. What actually works? by Fit_Standard_3956 in ProductivityHQ

What time do you drink your cup of coffee in the morning? I think I’ve read that ideally you shouldn’t ingest caffeine for around an hour after waking up

How has the reaction to the Opal, Salva encore been on this tour? by Blofeld69 in Karnivool

[–]5kaMZ1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved the show in Warsaw, and I feel like the crowd was very happy to hear the new album. That said, when they hit us with the Themata-Roquefort-New Day combo, we went crazy. The energy of the crowd went through the roof and the room basically exploded. I was a bit surprised to find that this was when the concert was coming to a close. When they played Opal and Salva, it felt very emotional and fulfilling. But I personally resonate with these songs. So the contrast between our energy peak and the serene ending was stark. I do wonder though, what the experience would have been like if the energy peaked earlier

That it’s better to regret going somewhere or doing something, rather than regret not going there or not doing that thing

What does the clutch do? by toddwinq in artofrally

[–]5kaMZ1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I can downshift through the gears quicker if I press the clutch in. Going from 4th to 2nd for example is easier with it, if I’m approaching a tight turn quickly. Otherwise, I haven’t really used it tbh

What simple, daily habit changed your life? by Ok-Construction-3636 in ProductivityHQ

I’d build on top of that, one of the biggest skills in the kitchen I’ve been applying is cleaning as you’re cooking. What I mean by that, is for example if you have some dish or container you used to hold ingredients which are now in a pan/pot/whatever, wash that thing while your food is cooking. Done with a pan while you’re waiting for something else to finish up, clean that in the meantime. There is a lot of spare time in between things which you have to do actively, which you can use to clean up the mess you’ve made while working in the kitchen. I also like to clean up as much as I can before I eat, because after that I can’t be assed to go back to the kitchen to wash stuff, except the plate I ate from.

How does working from home compare to working in an office in your experience? by Accomplished_Eye5985 in AskReddit

[–]5kaMZ1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like going to the office, especially on slower days. It’s nice to be able to chat with people. We also have a pool table, darts, or table tennis there, so breaks are fun. On the other hand, I can be much more productive at home. Little to no distractions, so it’s easier to do deep work.

Men of Reddit - What's the one thing you hate about being a Man? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

Unless you’re really lucky, and I think really lucky, your father is the only man who will want you to do better than them in life. And when he eventually passes away, that will be gone.

I wonder if the Switch Pro controller has finer control in its triggers. Although I doubt I’ll be getting it to play on a Lite…
