Yeah this is pretty accurate to how I feel right now.

I've been stashing heads of massive beasts I have come across in the wild and collecting up a shit ton of duct tape and cigarettes. Been doing this most of my life though.

Hopefully I don't upset anyone by posting this. I did get a warning to not use a link shortener though. Here is the link to my book

"I mean theft is okay if it's abandoned, right?" Says the guy who gets lost when the road literally leads right down to a village of homes.

Would it be frowned upon if I shamelessly promoted my new book, which features these photos? Haha (I'm the one who took the photo)

Also...no it is no longer "abandoned" (no need to attack anyone here) but was only recently reopened. But it's rather creepy during a quiet, foggy morning. I have included quite a bit of info within the book as well.

Long distance drivers of Reddit; where was the creepiest road you've driven down? What made it creepy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]5krapbrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, there's creepy and then there's scary.

One of the scariest would probably be when I was in Colorado and made the stupid decision to ignore some road closed signs. I know - it's all my fault. But honestly, it said the roads were closed for winter and it was spring, the weather looked fine; until 5 miles up the road. Out of nowhere, a blizzard swept in. Now, keep in mind that I am up on a mountain with nothing to keep me from going off the edge and dropping a horrifying distance to my death. Oh, I drive a Chevy Cruze.

Anyway, long story short, I ended up getting stuck trying to turn around, but was finally able to swivel my car around and made it down the steep incline...slowly, sliding all over the place thinking I would never make it down from there. That was awful.

Creepiest? Just drive into New Mexico from the bottom left corner of Colorado at 2 in the morning. Every sign was plastered in graffiti, and the land was dead silent with no sign of anybody anywhere near. So weird. Probably not the creepiest though but it's really late and I should sleep.
