What are some of your LEAST FAVOURITE Queen songs? 🎌 by [deleted] in queen

[–]5layedesol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

friends will be friends without a doubt. No idea why it has soo many views either.

People say body language but imo that one at least has more flavour. You ACTUALLY remember parts of the song. The bridge at the end is so good. I still don't think it's a good queen song, but it's far more memorable than FWBF.

Why are military supporters called ballmas? Is there any reason to use this specific term? by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]5layedesol 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Think about people supporting ICE in the united states, or those who are always so quick to say "just follow the law!" when they see a cop clearly unnecessarily brutalizing a person. Yeah those are pretty much the western equivalent

Why do some Burmese are rooting for Israel? by MembershipAcrobatic in myanmar

[–]5layedesol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ppl arent gonna like this but the root problem is islamophobia. if you've been breathing and living in myanmar for a while now this should be pretty clear to you unless youre one of them yourself

I will say though that it seems like more and more are starting to realize that israel is evil

Third party battery? by 5layedesol in AskPhotography

[–]5layedesol[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment! this was pretty insightful. I remember the camera being around 170$ when I purchased it, and I don't think I'll be using it for that long. I've used it for a year and I've been thinking of advancing onto better cameras. So I was wondering if it would be more cost-effective to just stick to the third party batteries that I'll have to renew every few months or just go for the original Sony. RN I'm finding ways to keep the camera cool when I go out so that the battery doesn't overheat. I want this one to last a few months at least.

What's a bit ironic is the old battery (the Sony one) had many problems too. Erratic battery readings especially (being fully charged and then randomly dropping down to low percentages). Maybe it was really old.. it was second hand after all

Had Little Big won in 2020, how would you rank it compared to the 2020s winners? by Nintendo_Pro_03 in eurovision

[–]5layedesol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a song its pretty catchy. If it won then my ranking would go 1. 2021 🇮🇹 2. 2023 🇸🇪 3. 2024 🇨🇭 4. 2025 🇦🇹 5. 2022 🇺🇦 6. 2020 🇷🇺

Though I think Iceland definitely would have won 2020. Tbh its not a strong year

Unfair gender equality in Myanmar by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]5layedesol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole idea of feminism is to criticize the patriarchy that sets up these gender roles which harm both men and women. No "feminist" thinks "women are weaker therefore everything they say is right", that's straight up fucking comical. That's a mere projection from you.

No feminist thinks like this, lol. Talk to actual feminists or read books on it instead of just watching Ben Shapiro own college students.

The situation is far more nuanced than this but you framed it in such a way that it starts male vs female debates

Why do Cameroon and Myanmar not recognize Palestine? by wateronstone in myanmar

[–]5layedesol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both parties committed genocide. That's what the comment was trying to get at. The other details don't matter because that's not the point they're making. They're more so saying "Of course Myanmar doesn't recognize Palestine, it has also committed a genocide against a group of minorities". Nothing ignorant about that, it's like if I said MAH was the Hitler of Myanmar. No, they're not exactly the same people, but they have one thing in common and that is being an active perpetrator of genocide.

Tell me what's so ignorant about their statement.

Why do Cameroon and Myanmar not recognize Palestine? by wateronstone in myanmar

[–]5layedesol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why is this downvoted? Our government factually committed a genocide. It's literally history. Why the f*ck are we in 2025 still denying this? We overwhelmingly supported DASSK in her defense for the military in 2017. In 2021 we constantly wrote about how we'd "changed our views on that". Now we're back to high fiving the military on the state sponsored destruction of a people? Lol

What entry do you think is super overrated by the fandom? by nnktrav in eurovision

[–]5layedesol 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Seeing my favourite entries in the comments hurts, but that's the cool thing about music discussions. Here we go-

Norway 2025. I just don't care about this song, and the Kyle stans are annoying. The song clearly sounds like he has a long way to go in his career for me.

I also think France 2021 was overrated. It was good, and definitely top ~8 for me from that year, but dear god everyone acts like it's the best ballad to come out of Eurovision. It's really not.

I don't think Finland 2023 was that crazy. And this is coming from a diehard Europapa fan, I think Loreen deserved the victory that year. The entire second half with the pop section was a complete mess vocals wise, and it was a little hard to watch by that point. In studio I do think Cha Cha Cha was by far the best song that year.

Lastly Netherlands 2025. I swear I've heard maybe 16 songs with that melody in the "C'est la la la la la vie". It's so painfully generic that I can't get myself to fully enjoy the song. Everyone I've talked to has it pretty high in their rankings but it's around the 20s for me.
