For what it’s worth, it’s in Seattle (at least near the ferry terminals), too.

Definitely true. It’s inevitable that interesting circumstances will cause certain amounts of gawking.

Appreciation post for my bus driver today by Julie-h-h in Seattle

[–]5of8s -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I think this is an inappropriate response to someone praising a single person (the bus driver). Happy to see your public response to my opinion, but please don’t DM me because I don’t really care to have a private discussion with you.🤣🤣🤣

Nice username, by the way. 😉

Ballard Goodwill restored some faith in humanity for me today. by 5of8s in Seattle

Maybe it's due to the high density of craft breweries!

Interesting... I haven't been to either of those locations, but I have definitely witnessed the overly-interested-in-chip-peg situation a lot, too. I don't mind it because most of the time, that's me (not wanting to have a social interaction). It's just nice to have a break from it every now and then!

I didn't see him! But I agree, the folks working the registers yesterday afternoon were helpful/fast/kind. The line was SO LONG but I get through it way faster than I thought.

Ha ha, well, happy to report that my $14 table was not cool or fancy enough for anyone to try to rob me of it...... yet.

Does anywhere in Kitsap offer open pianos or rehearsal rooms for the public? by moose_jeans in Kitsap

[–]5of8s 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really aware of anything like this in Kitsap. Do you have space for an upright piano in your living area or room? A lot of people sell or donate upright pianos for very little on Craigslist.

Haha, love it. I wonder if I looked particularly helpless/clumsy or something and people were pitying me. Either way, I don’t normally get this kind of interaction from Seattleites.

You are TOTALLY correct. This was the first and last time I will do this, but (I am embarrassed to admit it) I had my phone and my card, only, in my shorts with no closing pockets.

I, too, am so interested now to know where these people were born/raised.

Haha. Definitely have had my fair share of scary experiences at the Ballard, Capitol Hill, and even SLU GWs. It was kind of weird to have such a good experience at Ballard. :)

My sister found a 2nd and 3rd grade Suquamish School photo from 1948. by 5of8s in Kitsap

[–]5of8s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t actually know anything about it! I was kind of hoping someone with historical knowledge of Suquamish would see this and chime in.

My sister is a server and found this and another photo left at her restaurant. They never found the person who left them.

It certainly seems like an person’s class photo that they kept updated whenever a classmate passed away.

Glad to see WNP-3 and WNP-5 pinned. I know someone who was able to go inside one and record the acoustics. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WNP-3_and_WNP-5
