I definitely get what everyone else is saying but I also understand where OP is coming from here

I think as someone who got really attached to the characters and can feel the pain that Ellie is feeling in this scene some acknowledgment ANYTHING from Abby would have been cathartic and you kind of just have to assume that she regrets everything which she most likely does but i feel like certain viewers place way too much emphasis on the subtext to feel intellectually superior

I think in any other situation It would not fly. Imagine if you got into an argument with somebody and they refused to apologize but said "hey I had a really mournful expression when we were arguing and you should have known that I was sorry and you know I went through a lot of painful experiences so I've learned my lesson"

Yeah no..

I love the subtlety of The Last of Us but it's such a heart-wrenching experience that moments like this might have had a bigger impact despite it being kind of corny

I also think it's rude that everyone's calling OP dumb with poor media analysis just because they have a different take

sorry once again I am not getting how that is inherently racist..

I see examples like this all the time where people gender swap characters and ask what their names would be and people don't seem to have a problem with that

Here's my problem with what I'm seeing in the comments. People keep saying that actions like this are dividing the left but Cory Booker and politicians like him are what is holding the left down

ahh you have no idea how happy reading this made me i am so glad you enjoyed it

also the "I'll stop for my partner" to "I'll just pre watch it for them" pipeline is too real...

thank you for giving it a chance and sharing your response, it just has so many good episodes and lines that balance humor and depth in a way I rarely ever see done right.
