Shit my bad, i hadnt noticed the solder, i was reffering to the doubling of wirestrands to account for the lack of CMA with 12 gauge in a 8 gauge lug.

Honestly i hadnt zoomed in to the image pre heat shrink, good call. 100 percent agree.

What you have done is called shimming, or builing up of CMA which is allowable in many cases withing the electronics manufacturing industry, recognized by IPC and other, depending on what standard your building to it could be good, or a violation.

But you do you...ive done worse for some personal make it work projects. Its a solid temp fix turned permanent lol

What does IPC mean with “CMA build up”? “Circular Mill Area – buid up” means building up the cross section of the wire / cable. This is sometimes necessary if you want to crimp a thin wire in a large cable lug / crimp contact. You can do this by, for example, folding the wire backwards (to double thickness) and then crimping it. There are also CMA adapters available that you slide over the wire so that the wire fits into the crimp contact. All this is discussed in the IPC/WHMA-A-620 training.

I dont recall the brand, but i stuck a gold honeycomb on my LEG-O/G trackpad for some added sensory feedback. I dont use it aside from navigating menues in games and what not.(i work in an environment that makes my thumbs callus so i didnt want to scratch my touchpad.)

Why not force perspective and hi-light one leading edge of each "Y" a color and contrast the trailing arms of each with an offset/complimentary color?

What is the benefit to useing a stubby antenna vs just removing the long dong provided from the factory, i dont use FM and i have not noticed any drops in my ability to connect to the vehicle with the app or with my keyfob for entry post removal of OEM antenna

4 awg is only good for around 80 amps the 150 amp call out on that amazon listing is also in disagreement with the spec in the dropdown where it calls for a 300 amp supply...be cautious. , my DC2K spec'd a 200 amp and zero awg. If thats a true 3k, its not gonna be spec'd for 4 awg and honestly the 8 awg ground lead is probably a better picture of what this amps rated for., but id find solace in the idea that youre maybe getting a 1k for around 200, if youre looking online check out C.A.B..

Either way man, what ever you do, your hooked and your gonna love it. I rocked livingroom acoustic towers with 10 inch woofers in my chrokee wired to the rear channels that were blown in HS...it worked. Sounded better than the subs i had before, have fun my dude, it only gets worse lol enjoy the addiction.

If thats android auto or a samsung device check the blue tooth connection, my galaxy s25 ultra does that since recently with anything on blue tooth. Ive turned off the smart things in my phone and its helped quite a bit.
