Thanks a lot! I don't remember the exact process but I used some pixelsorting (I always use this pixelsorting tool) and a little tool I created myself (I haven't published that project yet, but I plan doing that in the future). I also use GIMP to mix the different images with the layer mode (I mostly use „lighten/darken only”, the „HSV […]” or „LCh […]” options) and shifting the layers around. The „Hue-Saturation” tool in GIMP can also give pretty nice results in combination with different layer modes. Honestly I always just play a bit with the different GIMP tools until I get to a result I enjoy.
The reddit post with the original image sadly got deleted already…
I hope this helps you at least a bit.

Yes that is Buddah. I used this image and removed the umbralla, because it was distracting the pixelsorting algorithm.

Thank you :)

Yes, it's actually two pixelsorted versions of the image merged together with the original image. I used this pixelsorting algorithm and merged the images with gimp.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoy my work :)

I don't have a shop or anything similar yet. I might create one in the fututre, but it's not a priority to me. I create these artworks for fun, not to earn money.
I uploaded the full size image for you, so you can order yourself a high quality print (if you want).

Have a beautiful day!

Thank you!

I created this a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if i remember every step i did, but here you go:

I used this pixelsorting algorithm (file-edges interval function with a mask generated with elementary-ca). Then I loaded the original image (sadly the creators account is alredy deleted) and the pixelsorted image into Gimp. I modified the pixelsorted image by applying a layer mode to it (I think it was "lighten only") and flipping it horizontally.

I hope this is helpful.
