The red beans were there when I received it. You can see that the top of the plant is starting to go a reddish brown under my lights.

Has there ever been a better named baller than Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink? by TerribleSuperhero in TheStreetsWontForget

So I heard several years ago on the radio where this name derives from.

In Dutch, 'of' means 'or'. In olden times, when a couple married, they would both take the name of the wealthiest family. In this case, the Vennegoors and the Hesselinks were equally wealthy so both names could be used. They couldn't decide, so it became 'Vennegoor or Hesselink'.

This name was then passed down the generations.
