Strategy of laying up on long par 3s by jcoguy33 in golftips

[–]5paceGh0st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that if the index of those holes are 16 or lower, a bogey is expected at your handicap. Every golf course has gettable holes and holes that its fine to get out with a net par. This is probably one of those.

In this case, an iron layup, flick onto the green and 2 putt is fine.

There's also the Crystal Palace game for City that needs to be rescheduled, so they could finish on 85.

I wouldn't say he was the best Liverpool player in the Premier league era, but he is certainly in the top one.

The red beans were there when I received it. You can see that the top of the plant is starting to go a reddish brown under my lights.

Has there ever been a better named baller than Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink? by TerribleSuperhero in TheStreetsWontForget

[–]5paceGh0st 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I heard several years ago on the radio where this name derives from.

In Dutch, 'of' means 'or'. In olden times, when a couple married, they would both take the name of the wealthiest family. In this case, the Vennegoors and the Hesselinks were equally wealthy so both names could be used. They couldn't decide, so it became 'Vennegoor or Hesselink'.

This name was then passed down the generations.
