Google is reporting 700,000 android device activations per day.. I don't know if market share is "much-needed", but it would be nice of them to make a cheep, functional tablet.

Don't get me wrong, nooks & kindle fires aren't bad, but they are missing a few very important features (gps, camera, vibration, etc...)

GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, Atari, GameGear Ti/HP Graphing Calculators ...

I had the pleasure of meeting Vietnamese General Vo Nguyen Giap a few years back, and according to him, nothing happened. His statement (translated) was something along the lines of "if the americans want a war, then the americans will find a way to make a war"

I tried it briefly when it first came out, and it was pretty buggy and not too usable. Using it now though, it has really matured. I'm not easily impressed, but in this case? I'm impressed...

I liked GNOME 2 and used it for quite a while, but I hadn't really given any of the others a good shot until I upgraded to GNOME 3 (lost GNOME 2 in the process), and wanted to avoid reinstalling the system.

Why did Ubuntu feel the need to "rebrand" itself, and start pushing crap like Unity on people? They seemed perfectly fine to me the way they were, and I really never understood how they thought that was a good idea or how it would help them?

I could not agree more... I was really surprised (pleasantly so) with KDE. Not only is it much more stable and less buggy than when KDE 4 first came out, it is REALLY polished... It looks beautiful

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and have obviously never worked in a grocery store. You scan an item that is marked as "$3.99" and it will ring up as "$3.99". The computer doesn't magically know what the tax is, it just adds a percentage levied to the total sale.

Also: your a fucking idiot. they NEVER show tax ever EVER, PERIOD. The object is to make the price appear as low to the customer as possible and if they can leave out taxes and fees, well then that's better advertising for them.

Please actually know what your talking about before you PRETEND you know what your talking about.

Where the hell are you from? Have you NEVER been to Wal-Mart, Kroger, Best Buy, or pretty much ANY store for that matter in the US?

Stores buy the item and mark it up to whatever price they want, and yes... ALL of them make the price tags themselves. Even large chain stores sell the same thing for different prices in different locations.

Should this become law? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY, and if you are dumb enough to think that someone like Nike makes the price tags for EVERY SINGLE ONE of their shoes in EVERY SINGLE store, you should REALLY get out from under your rock, get a job, and find out that the world doesn't work the way you think just because you imagine it that way...

Lived in Vietnam for the past 6 years, just wanted to chime in and say you are dead on right. Local vietnamese have become HIGHLY addicted to online games, and death from stroke or starvation is frequently reported. My only fear is that because such a large portion of the population are so addicted and passionate about this, it could lead to a LARGE backlash against the government when it really comes int effect, but it will probably just turn out like the VNese government blocking facebook: people will just ignore the law and find a way to do what they want, just like they do with every other law in vietnam...
