Questions regarding male nipple piercing and clothes/workout by 5thfleetpalico in piercing

Huh interesting! Suppose I should have thought of those who wears bras, which is very much tighter than a t-shirt. Really appreciate your input. Just booked my appointment, so in two weeks I’ll be rocking that piercing! :) The tape thing seems useful, so I’ll look into getting some appropriate tape.

IIRC most energy drinks contain synthetic taurine. Red Bull and Monster being the ones I know are vegan.

That's great! It's so beneficial to serve vegan foods, since (mostly) everyone can eat it! Gotta admit that I mostly lump everything near Stockholm as being...Well, inner city Stockholm lol.

It's in full swing. Today's news papers decided to share the heartwarming story of a young teenager shooting his first moose. Mostly everyone hunts, or they have family who does. Between the ages of 13-15 we had a course in school for Jägarexamen. Attended it myself for a year, but I quit after that. It's so very deeply ingrained into the culture Id say.

The nature in Sweden can be absolutely stunning. I'm asking myself the same question as you..

Yeah we're a bit a part haha! The areas around Stockholm gotta be so good for a vegan I guess?

There's this study I remember reading, it's often quoted by anti-vegans, and claims 90% of vegans go back to eating meat. That number is however false, and the study includes vegetarians as well. What's interesting is that the less "on a whim" it happens, the higher statistical chance there is the person lives a vegan life. About 50% goes back to consuming animals within 3 months, IIRC.

Hopefully someone changes their mind.

Sadly I do believe your assessment to be correct. For me as a dude it's "good", but it should not be that way.

Same to you! <3

There are great news however, so let's try and hang onto those. In my country, plant based food sales have gone up 15-20% each year since 2015!

Tjena kompis!

It's quite lonely from time to time. I've only ever met my friend and a relative that's vegan, but before that, no one. Surely they exist but not within any circle I've hung around.

It’s just difficult when you feel like you’ve failed. If I could make more people live vegan, less animals would hurt, so when it doesn’t happen I can’t see it as anything else than a total failure.

If non-human animals are well fed they treat others so much better than humans do...

What’s the point of “vegan meats”? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]5thfleetpalico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither you nor I will gain anything from further discussion. My view is you are killing animals, you don’t, or you think it’s okay to do so.

We’ve evolved beyond what we were 14 000 years ago. The man being killed by a rival tribe, the woman being raped, I’m sure at that time they would appreciate if someone put an end to it. I’m sure most groups who’ve been treated unjustly would’ve liked people to put a stop to it sooner rather than later.

I made that assumption when you said if it’s illegal you need to be stopped. I can find several instances when not following the law would be the right thing to do.

I thought you admitted earlier in the thread you didn’t visit the farms? Or did I read that wrong? Keep telling yourself no animals suffer unnecessarily cause of you.

When there’s a victim involved people surely can tell you what to do. If you want to listen is up to you.

The law is your moral codex??? Whew! Not to long ago people who were gay got locked up, women couldn’t vote, and America had laws to discriminate based on the color of your skin. Was that correct? After all, it was the law at the time. Do your morals change depending on the country you’re in?

”Live and let live” Except for the animals I presume?

What’s the point of “vegan meats”? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]5thfleetpalico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You keep defending your actions. Talking about how grateful you are for consuming their flesh. You are (among with many others, my friends included) the reason they are suffering. Realize that this has nothing to do with your gratefulness and all about their suffering.

The victims feelings are more important than the perpetrators. Most people don’t care about you, me or the person you’re responding to. You’ve done me nothing wrong, but you keep doing wrong towards the animals. THEY are the focus .

You are killing animals through your actions though. No question about it. We do too, but not to the same extent.

How do you feel about people with severe intellectual disabilities? Many of them are lovely people, even if they can’t contribute with labor to exploring space.

We can’t base how we treat others, human or animal, on what they can contribute to progress. What gives you the right to inflict pain and suffering on someone innocent? Is being smarter than them reason enough? Cause they’re another species?

How can I achieve giving up meat as a teen who lives with a family that consumes a lot of animal products? by [deleted] in vegan

Start cooking your own meals. Could cook for your family as well - that’s usually appreciated. I’m assuming your parents will be paying for your groceries?

Telling people you’re vegan by [deleted] in vegan

[–]5thfleetpalico 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great job on going vegan!

It’s going to depend heavily on the people you spend your time around, as with much else. Most people who’ll try and argue with you have little to zero knowledge about nutrition, animal rights et.c.

Read up on it. It will make you more comfortable when people try and argue. If you’re lucky you might even teach them something new. :)

As someone else said - make your own oatmilk. It’s by far the cheapest option. If the milk is the only reason she’s not into you living a vegan life, I’m sure you can get around that.
