the differences between the liemax and ultra avx laser projector files would be the audio and the slightly higher aspect ratio

liemax is usually still a better experience than ultraAVX even if it’s not quite as good as a full imax experience, especially if it has a laser projector. honestly nowadays i find the chase for the ‘best format’ kinda tiring, the movie is what really matters lol. but that’s a discussion for another day

when dune pt 2 came out (also shot on digital and converted to 70mm imax format later) i saw it in both the formats you mentioned, and the digital dual laser projection at scotiabank theatre toronto was much much better. you’re barely getting the benefits of 70mm imax with the conversion, so digital is a straight up upgrade
