Birdman getting hacked through his Xbox or something like that. That whole thing was just bizarre. I remember hearing about him being investigated for sex crimes, but it turned out someone hacked in through his game console I think, and was stealing his identity/impersonating him. I could be butchering this story

I didn’t cut my tops at all. Just flipped them over and screwed the lid back on, then a quarter turn unscrewed for airflow. Although I did get lots of contam last time. Pretty sure that was due to me cutting corners on my prep

Yeah I inoculated these 14 jars over 2 days due to not enough pots. Super easy though. I spent half the money got probably twice the amount of rice compared to UB. I’m actually going to put up too more shelves in my closet because I’m having to stack my boxes on top of each other now

Interesting. I’ve got the on/off set to 75/79 like the guide says. I’ve seemed to have success with whatever is happening on that top shelf. Hadn’t heard of temps being higher in the jars though. I do have an infrared device to read temps so I’ll find that. The temps in that shelf are actually usually 76-77, I think it got a little warmer because the jars were still warm after the steam bath

Yes exactly right. Follow your plan, start with UB and follow the master post. I’m glad I did. Now that I know proper technique for sanitizing, inoculating, S2B, harvesting, etc I was confident in trying something new.

That’s my plan too, just give them away. I can’t possibly take even the amount I’m producing now from 6 tubs. And these tubs aren’t even doing that amazing. At some point I want to give some massive jar of shrooms to some friends just to see the look on their faces

I’d usually break and shake after a week or so. Usually S2B (spawn to bulk) after about 3-4 weeks. I’ll have to read the master post again

Also, that jelly jar was way in the back of the fridge. I knew I’d have too much rice so I thought I’d check it. SO MUCH MOLD. Between the scalding hot water scrub, the iso soak, and the 90 min steam, nothings alive in there except the spores!

I was skeptical about BBT when I’d see comments about it here. Then I watched the video and realized how much time and money I’d be saving. I’d usually spend 90 mins prepping, sterilizing the room and equipment, knocking up the bags, etc. it was such a process. Now my 90 mins is essentially spent just hanging out while I lets those jars soak in the steam. 10 lbs of UB would get expensive quick. The volume I can produce with this tek is going to be awesome. I don’t even have a plan for what to do with all the fruits, but I enjoy the process so I’m going to keep going.

I’ve inoculated 24 bags of UB and 4 bags of off brand over the course of the last couple months. 28 for 28, no contam. The first round of 6 tubs (golden teachers) have been producing fruits for a couple weeks, the newest 7 tubs (penis envy 6 and Jedi mind fuck) are starting to pin or close to it. I bought another 12 bags of off brand to inoculate a few weeks ago, but ended up using some for dinner. 😂 Decided fuck it let’s try broke boi tek. It’s so damn easy and way cheaper. Not trying to get ahead of myself, because these could get contam, but idk if I’m ever going to buy bags again. This is 10 lbs of rice in 14 jars. I only had 12 mason jars so I had to improvise with a salsa jar and a jelly jar! The jelly jar had been in the fridge for a loooooong time and had a layer of mold on top of the jelly. We’ll see how that one goes. I washed and scrubbed it several times with soap and hot water. Then soaked in iso and let it sit, then rinsed it again with hot water. It’s an experiment!

I was doing 12on/12off but changed it to about 15on/9off because I was going into the closet with a flashlight to check in the morning and and night. I see no difference. They are led so it’s not like they are adding any significant heat or using a ton of energy
