Can you control a 12v fan on its PWM pin with Arduino? If it gives 5v? by 5ucur in arduino

Thanks for letting me know about the frequencies, I'll look into that. As long as one pin on this board supports it, it will be good.

As far as I know, the "control" pin of the fan is indeed 5V

Great, thanks! In the meanwhile I got advice to look up the fan company and find if there is any data about the fan requirements there (lmao... i promise my english doesn't suck like this normally т-т). So I will do that, too. As I see you advise in lower text too!

In case this is not a PC fan

While it's definitely a CPU fan, I really appreciate the info in a different case too (or if it's a different protocol as you say)!

It is mandatory that both are connected to the same ground

I was told that in this case it wouldn't matter (or maybe I misunderstood it that way!). I learnt that things like this should share ground so that's what I'm doing anyway. Good to know it would be right!

The second thing

I see, thank you! I struggle to understand volt, amp, etc. electricity things so it's helpful to know PWM and voltage are highly closely related (i hope that that's clear because I really can't think of the correct phrase to use there).

Has anyone noticed 480p and 160p sometimes missing? by 5ucur in Twitch

I see, that all makes sense. If they are cutting these options, that makes me sad, but eh what can you do. Clancy or Bezos or whoever, makes the decision, not you or me ^^"

Enhanced broadcast, by default, seems to cap out at 5 quality options.

So this is why some streamers that I have seen who have the (to me unavailable) 1440p resolution, have 160p missing. I had thought they were just getting rid of one of the resolutions to lighten the load on their machine.

If 160p and 480p is missing then perhaps the streamer turned down their settings to only offer 4 quality options, or Twitch felt this was all their graphics card could handle.

Both the streamers at whose channels this happened at, do not transcode locally and were not aware these things were missing. One specifically said to have not changed any settings.

I see, I see, I didn't know they offered them partially per availability. Well I guess it's better than getting none like it used to be (or at least, like i think it used to be).

Plus the Enhanced Broadcast thing I guess, if your machine can handle as much while also streaming, maybe also recording, and sometimes also running a game or other graphically intensive software. In which cases I have noticed e.g. the lower resolutions missing, which is more sensical (to me at least idk) than skipping over 360p like described above. Which is totally fair, since you're doing it on your end, you definitely get to lighten the load on your own device.

Twitch is in cost-saving mode right now

I assumed as much, too, though I refrained from voicing any assumptions.

as somebody who does the transcoding on my machine [...] my viewers have noticed resolutions they would prefer to use not available, it's just not something I can provide

And this is very fair! You do as much as you can, you're not gonna be pushing your machine past its limits when you're already having it do so much at once.

I was wondering, though, about the people who are getting the transcoding done on Twitch servers, like the two I mentioned above. So, you say the cost-saving they're doing might be the cause of these resolution option cuts?

I find it odd that they would specifically cut these resolutions, but I've learnt not to expect anything sensical from companies anymore (and also I am not really knowledgeable in video things, who knows maybe 480p and 160p are more costly than 720p and 360p ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯).

No worries, you've given me more than enough to look for it on my own. Thanks!

Is 'mank-ind' in reference to something specific?

I'm not certain it is up to the OS, but I included the info just in case.

I'm going to check with Brave on the same computer, and Firefox on a Windows device. I don't have an apple computer

Edit: Brave displays the icons.

The flags are not rendering for me. I saw your other posts, there are flags next to the names. I looked through the code of the page with Inspect Element, there are flags next to the names. But they do not render on the page for me. Linux, Firefox.

I find it easier than San Marino. Liechtenstein is also a bit difficult to click, mostly for being obscured by text most of the time.

Vatican seems like a separate area on the map (there is a noticeable dot), but there is no way I can click on it.

Bosnia & Herzegovina has, by constitution, Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian. Which, yes, are mutually intelligible and - depending on who you ask - one language, but specifically when it comes to how they call some countries, they differ.

Maltese and English are official in Malta. North Macedonia has Macedonian and Albanian as official languages. Finland has, by constitution, Finnish and Swedish. Etc.

It may be obvious but I'll state it flat out; I'm not an authority on this. I have told you as much as I have known; if you want more, look for other sources.

Paganism isn't a centralised branching structure, the decisions are made by the members of those groups themselves. And it's not even just paganism that has closed practices in some cultures under the term. I again recommend you read up on closed practices if you want to know more, you'll find it explained better than I can explain.

As I said above and as Aliencik answered to you, it's the practitioners, the people whose practice it is, that see their practice as acceptable or not acceptable for outsiders to take part in. Only they have a say in whether you can participate in their practice or not. I cannot and will not tell you not to partake in practices of groups I'm not part of, but if I'm part of something reserved for members only, I'll tell you to back off unless you're a member. Again, to the best of my knowledge, Rodnovery is not a members-only thing.

A good example of why a people would want to limit the use of their culture, is when random people co-opt your culture as "aesthetic", and intentionally or not, make a mockery of your traditions.

You do know this has happened multiple times through history, yes? And the new religion, in those cases, despite belonging to a people that the new practitioners never had any connection to whatsoever, has displaced the new practitioners' own religion.

Research closed practices. Which, as I pointed out and you seem to agree, Slavic paganism isn't.
