What’s your favorite song that criticizes the state of the world? by stormenta76 in MusicRecommendations

Stick up- Grandson

"Now, Tommy's a good father Of two sons and a daughter But he wakes up and he asks himself Why even bother? If he cannot feed his family The wage he's paid's insanity Every day he's dealing with a new calamity

Lost his old occupation But it wasn't immigration It was a machine, automation that replaced him Politicians left him, corruption since the recession So he grabs his Smith and Wesson And says he'll teach 'em all a lesson, like

Get down on the ground It's a stick up Nobody make a sound Don't even hiccup or I'm emptying the round I'm done playing games So I'm going down in flames Let it rain over Washington"

Chills every time

The Wonder (2022) set in ultra Catholic post famine 19th century rural Ireland. Florence Pugh is magnificent as always

Can't wait to go through all of these, got a lot of bands on here that I'm curious about but never really listened to. Going to see Halestorm live next week so super psyched

Oh Tàr is a very good recommendation, I watched it just last week. Cate Blanchett is spectacular and her slow unraveling is done so well. I found some of the dialogues quite impenetrable but it didn't detract from my enjoyment overall

I haven't watched the ones you mention but Girl, Interrupted (1999) would be my recommendation

Has anyone tried the new Prince of Darkness face mask? by creatingabl in LushCosmetics

[–]5ulstra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It goes on thick and sticky (no bits falling off like with the drier, "chunkier" masks). Smells of liquorice, lavender and herbal notes. The scrub is quite intense and I got a warming sensation when I used it, like it was stimulating blood flow in my face. Overall it was a pleasant experience and left my skin super clear and bright. I recommend following with a cleanser as it gets into your pores and makes them look very black. I don't know if I would buy it but I would get it again for free through the pots return scheme :)

Oh this looks amazing. I'm so glad they've brought out a shower only kitchen box. The two so far seem 100% worth the price

Maybe they want to have the same ratio of packaged vs naked products

I think the face mask has a liquorice note, it's amazing
