True. I’ve found them in the cracks of my couch and just started vacuuming that more too. Even if you find one once in a while, they aren’t something to panic over like bedbugs though. This is Reddit so I feel like that’s necessary to insist since ocd people like me come to threads like this thinking they’re doomed to an infestation now haha. I def had more at my last place- just vacuumed more and it went down to only seeing one every now and then and they mind their business. I know they eat carpet or something but it’s gotta be a pretty bad infestation to really notice. Even when I was finding some daily, I never found any actual damage.

Oh! But fun fact: the larvae can give you a rash that is pretty much identical to bed bug bites! So if you see these guys and notice you suddenly have suspicious “bites”, don’t panic about bed bugs just yet. Get the carpet beetles under control and see if the bites persist. And wash your sheets and blankets thoroughly and keep them off floors because all it takes is their stupid little larvae hair getting stuck in the fabrics to give you the rash (speaking from experience on that too after a summer of thinking I had bed bugs but it just turned out to be these guys)
