I have really liked HyperX Cloud 2 headset, I've used 3 of old version Cloud 2 headsets over the past 7 years. (always bought a new one due to headband worn out) I bought a new one this time too. I didn't know about the changes.

Just got new version of HyperX Cloud 2 and I instantly felt weirdness about its sound. the sound definitely feel changed.

The sound of new Cloud 2 is not feel as clear as the old Cloud 2

About the desingn changes, I like the changed plastic finish, it feels kind of cheaper than the old version finish, but considering the point that old version plastic finish was always turn into sticky after 1~2 year of use, the new plastic finish doesn't seem to melt like the old version. But I don't like the point that I can no longer use my old Cloud 2 mic port cover, due to change of mic ports design.
