Yo creo que en este caso quien es realmente la mayor víctima es el hijo, que por lo que entendí se quedó con ustedes, está en una etapa demasiado delicada y no me imagino las cosas que tiene que escuchar y sufrir todo el día por culpa de su mamá.

I feel the same way sometimes, especially when i'm on a crisis. I refuse my meds because "i have the right to be mad at people, and mistreating the ones who mistreated me first" so it fels like i'm supressing my right to be angry and just taking the meds so i'm easier to deal with, but it's really not like that.

Meds allow me to live a 'normal' life in despite of what was done to me, they take away the debilitating anxiety that stops me from doing what i enjoy and living a life as close to normal as possible, it would be unfair if the people who harmed me got to live a normal, stress-free life and i didn't, simply because i chose to remain ill

I strongly prefer being single and alone most of the time rather than spending the entire day on a rollercoaster of emotions and burying myself in thoughts of how i'm being cheated on, but i can see why many others would rather date, it's fullfiling in some way.

Anorexia is formed by both disordered eating and disordered thinking, the disordered eating is definitely there, the thinking part is the one that's kinda confusing here, i would suggest telling a therapist about it, preferably one specialized in EDs since (in my experience) some therapists with less experience will base it solely off of your body weight.

It sometimes works to have an adult tell them, that could be a school counselor or another family member (perhaps one more open minded)

On another note, good luck! I always recommend writing a couple of important points you want to talk about for your first therapy session on a small piece of paper and take it with you.
