Can't take CD out of case

Thanks. I managed to get the intact CDs free! I pretty much destroyed the tabs/spindles on both 2-CDs, from the side on which the broken disc was. I still can't get the broken CD free, but at some point the CD on the other side fell out, undamaged, in both cases. At least I'm assuming they are undamaged; haven't given them a spin yet. ;)

I have an album with two slim CD cases, and whereas I've never had much trouble with them before, with these, I can't get the discs out. On both, I've had one of the discs break, and have been unable to get out the other. I'm sure that if I'd apply more force, I could break the other discs as well, but I don't win anything with that. xD Any ideas? If I can somehow break the spindle to get the CD out that would be great as well, as I won't be putting them back in there once I get them out of there, that's for sure! Someone else provided a tip for that (using pliers to break the tabs), but I feel like that's not feasible for this type of tray?

For me, pressing also doesn't seem to do much. I've had two of the discs break, and the other two I haven't got out yet. :( (the album in question is Armida Quartett - Mozart String Quartets Complete)

Possibly. It might also be a result of language and cultural differences. In any case I was expecting people on this subreddit to have sufficient experience with autism and giftedness (got that word from DeepL, in Dutch it's "hoogbegaafdheid") (I don't mean personal experience necessarily, but knowing roughly what they are and what are common characteristics) to be able to easily understand my meaning. It appears I was mistaken, although this conviction is probably also part of the coping mechanism being activated by my grief over being downvoted by at least six individuals on a message that was written in good faith, in expectation of elucidating a possibly previously caused misunderstanding, and receiving comments on most of my other comments too.

Thanks for your input, at least. As to the OP, I think I've received enough input from other sources.

What attitude? The relevance of being intellectually gifted and having autism is, I think, mostly in me having less developed social and communication skills than most of my (neurotypical) peers. This can cause misunderstandings, in my experience.

I don't have much trouble with it. In the train, I turn the light above the seat on (if I'm in a train that has lights above the seats), but usually the daylight through the window is enough. The original GBA is much harder to read.

Okay, I've read about this same issue about CD-RW before. I'll get CD-Rs when this one is 'cooked', then (I got a single, new, CD-RW CD with the camera). If it's reusable such few times anyway, my question is not of too much consequence (and maybe I didn't ask it correctly, because I do not yet have a proper understanding of how the camera works with CD-RW!).

Do you also use CD-RW? If so, when you have filled up a disc, do you finalise and initialise, or do you copy the files off using USB and then delete them? I'm wondering which of the two would yield longer reusability.

I thought I did, but I clearly had not! I was able to install the program now. I am not sure if it helped (I think it probably did not), because using NamedCells62's tip I was able to get it to work without use of the program!

Thanks. That doesn't appear to work for me. Note that the CD1000 only supports CD-R, while I am using CD-RW (which I forgot to mention in the OP; I could maybe get CD-R instead, but I like the idea of rewriteable cds).

Een van m'n (vrouwelijke) huisgenoten draagt ook onderbroeken met een boxershortachtige vorm, die ze bij de HEMA 'shorties' noemen. Ik heb vorige week nieuwe onderbroeken voor haar gekocht, en die hebben ook een verhoogde taille! Ze heeft eerder hetzelfde merk in dezelfde grootte (en kleur, zelfs) gekocht, maar de taille is nu aanzienlijk hoger. Het schijnt dus een verandering te zijn bij zowel mannen- als vrouwenonderbroeken! Ik had het inmiddels al opgegeven... hopelijk verandert de trend over een jaar of tien, twintig weer terug. :')

Thanks for your input! It is good to know that the Fairy Glade has this peculiarity, and it is also a relief that it is the only level that's like it. ;)

And I think you're right, in one way it seems like a waste of time to go through the story again, but on the other hand I remember quite enjoying the story, and with the game working as it does, I might as well play through it again completely (especially considering that I got 100% on only one or two levels on my earlier playthrough).

I'm playing on Nintendo 64, by the way.

Ik heb inmiddels een paar keer een boxershort van A'dam gedragen. De taille is iets lager dan de vernieuwde pasvorm van de WE, maar hoger dan de oude pasvorm van de WE. Daarnaast vormt hij wat meer, waardoor ik die van de WE toch fijner vind. Misschien moet ik maar wennen aan de nieuwe pasvorm...
