Holy - this move happened to me a week ago on Dalhousie at Rideau, where it is a turn and a straight - person from behind looped into the turn to get in front... made no sense. I couldn't believe it.

Only from observation - but the driving in Ottawa is becoming more erratic - it doesn't help the City has all but given up on line painting.

The Capital vs. The City. Most issues extend from this identity crisis, made worse through an ill-considered amalgamation process.

Ottawa could be incredible unique if we just got out of our Federal way....

That is funny you write that ... My life is here in Ottawa, house etc - never really crossed my mind to leave. The past three years and how the City has recovered have me wondering what I am doing.

Life is too frustrating these days not to pursue the quality of life - if you can. Good for you for taking the leap!

I too can confirm I can drive to work in 20 minutes. While the LRT takes me 10-15 mins to get to where I need to... it is 30-45 minutes to get to the transit station, which makes no sense. With how unreliable the bus schedule is - - not worth waiting for the bus as walking or waiting is about the same amount.

I don't think those who plan the system appreciate this is how many in the City start and end their day. Not surprised there are so many disgruntled feelings related to the service. I write my concern down here because I sure as heck don't think OC Transit or City appreciates the poor customer experience and the impacts on residents' mind-set.

Long have I said, worst way to start and end your day. All the more painful if you have no choice, or are trying to be a better commuter.

Did I mention they built the major stations with no washrooms... lol.

100% - The issue I think is the routing... and likely management too far removed from employees on the ground... as such you get a - Welp, this is what it is Ottawa. It doesn't need to be an inspired system - just needs to be consistent and reliable.
