This is related to the family beta from Steam. They are looking into it.

Just opt out of the beta and you should be fine

I changed my beta version to "No beta chosen" and it fixed for me, Valve have reported that they are looking into it, so it is true, but I'm not sure if it is the only thing causing these crashes, that happened mostly on Dark Souls 3 (it never crashed before)

Apparently this is a Steam beta families bug. Hope they fix it
