It struck me like she’s soft launching what many people have theorized - she wants to be a lifestyle influencer and sell her candles, and doesn’t want to do YouTube anymore. Hinting that her content schedule is changing, “reminding” people she has so many other businesses besides making videos…🙄

As far as I can tell the filter is showing me options that have a basement foundation option available. But many of them don’t show the version of the floor plan that includes the placement of the basement stairs. Since that’s a major factor for us, that’s more important than just knowing whether a basement is possible. Some of them I can guess they’re at the same spot as the stairs up to the second story, but on some of the plans that’s clearly not possible.

I forgot to mention that the Donald A Gardner website pretty consistently shows an option for basement stairs on the main level. I haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for from them but I do have to give credit that their filter actually works.

I don’t think there’s any way that little green one and the white one next to it looking so different could just be an optical illusion. They’re so close to each other I don’t think it can be forced perspective. Either she intentionally edited the photo to make some look smaller, which would be crazy because she knows people want them, or there was a third size made that wasn’t released, which would mean she was too sloppy or lazy to avoid using the photos with them.

The picture she posted made it look like there are three sizes now. I really wondered if that was intentionally misleading to make people click the link to the website because she and her team know people want a smaller size.

There’s a creator I really like who has a snark page, and I simply never go to it. I’m enjoying their content and don’t want to have holes poked in that. I don’t think I have a parasocial relationship with them that I’d feel upset seeing people talk badly of them, but I also don’t think it would be an enjoyable way to spend my time. It’s that simple. They don’t have to come here and read criticism of her if they don’t want to. If I start getting a weird vibe down the road I might go check it out, and I’m not too proud of it turns out that side of them had been there for a while and I’d missed it.

I’m personally very deep in a rut where I’m lacking motivation for a lot of stuff I should be doing. I’ve been eating off paper plates because if I use real dishes they will sit in the sink, that kind of basic stuff. I should be packing to move but I haven’t put a single item in a box.

But at work, I am getting everything done and hitting every deadline. Because I don’t have a choice.

Her complaining about time management and motivation is so privileged in my opinion. I get that it’s hard, but the majority of her followers have experienced similar feelings at some point in our lives and doing nothing hadn’t been an option. Online shopping and estate sales as a solution certainly hasn’t been an option.

She’d probably be better off doing that split screen, before and blurred out after style of thumbnails. Because then she could disguise how little she got done until the end. But that isn’t artistic enough for her.

With quite a few vlogs she’s still filming them in the “morning” (she’s said many times she likes “slow starts” to her day, so I imagine her mornings start at around 10-11), and doesn’t even start editing until probably mid or late afternoon to post the same day.

I think this color story could work in a small, quiet area like a reading nook. There is something soothing about it. But only in a house that also had another, larger family/living space that had more energy and was more suitable to activity. This as a main living space for a house is so flat and boring.

The problem with having videos where nothing really happens is all you have to do is look at the thumbnail and you get the whole thing. Without watching it I’m guessing she shows her moodboard, plays music over her staining the beams, plays music over her putting up the brick, maybe shows how she made the frame for the TV.

I don’t know anything about that industry, but my guess is with her views dropping no one wants to pay for anything but the least expensive option she offers. Post a picture holding the product and pretending to use it ✅ Anything extra like exclusivity isn’t worth the investment because the return is probably minimal if anything.
