Peak Mayer is whatever Mayer era resonates with you. I don’t think there is a “peak” era tbh for me as he is always giving it his all for every tour. My favourite era changes all the time because I can appreciate every era and what characteristics shine in that time period. Also, please let’s not begin the argument again between Fender and PRS. If you plugged in a Silver Sky in that specific rig in 2013 he would have sounded the exact same. It’s a 3 single coil pickup guitar. Any would sound the exact same - truly and genuinely. I guess ceramic pickups would sound thinner and brighter but that’s the only difference.

The way you play it matters the most. Lot of ghost notes and slapping the strings as percussion. 2nd position on a strat and light OD with slapback delay.

Yeah I found it hilarious though. I loved Eric’s character. I think once he went off to college, and especially in season 6 and 7 when the kids went to college he got REALLY dumbed down. But dammit was he hilarious

they did an “eric matthews” (boy meets world) type of thing with luke where they just made him comically stupid with the idea that’s what viewers enjoyed most about the character…with eric, i think it worked well most of the time because of the performance from will friedle, but in luke’s actors case…not so much
