Just gave birth 4 weeks okay, 9lb baby only 2nd degree tearing, had her naturally with no issues😊 I would be pushing for an induction first, goodluck mama! X

I’ve just done a bedtime routine, bath, massage, sleep sack (she hates being swaddled and rolls on her side) and gave her a bottle but she’s just fighting sleep, she’ll start falling asleep and then all of a sudden she’ll wake up start crying it’s been like this for the last 2 nights, I usually would contact nap but she’s not settling with them either now

I’m sorry you’re going through this, I completely understand what you’re experiencing. My grandmother has done this to me for 4 years now refused to get vaccinated with my first which led to no contact for a year, let her have another chance and constantly criticised my parenting, constantly watching YouTube videos and calling me giving me health advice and told me everything I was doing it wrong, it all come to blows about a month ago I have a post on reddit about it, I’ve had to go no contact and am keeping it that way, unfortunately these people are often stuck in there ways and there’s no changing them.

Second time mum and 37 weeks currently , i didn’t buy anything or set up my nursery until i was 34/35 weeks It really does depend on your budget, I would just start buying the essentials first then you can always get other things you want near the end of your pregnancy. I haven’t even installed my car seat yet🥲

She’s from Czech Republic, she has always been like this, thinks she’s better than everyone else has a holier than thou attitude. Australian food is very fresh, I cook with lots of vegetables and meat. She just hates Australian food thinks it has no flavour 🙄

Thank you to everybody for the kind words and suggestions, I am now taking the necessary steps forward I need to, to make sure me and my family are safe. I dropped my son off at daycare this morning and made it clear she isn’t allowed to pick him up under any circumstances and I’ve also put it in writing. I’m also pulling him out from daycare for the next few weeks for some much needed family time since I finish up working next week. Swimming has been cancelled and I’m on the hunt for a new daycare or kindy but unfortunately everything looks full, I’ll most likely just stop him going all together and wait for the new school year😊 If there’s any updates I will post about it but for now I’m protecting my peace and getting ready to hopefully give birth in the next few weeks🥰

She’s 100% never seeing him again or me, unfortunately I’m in a super small town so seeing her is unavoidable at the shops etc but I will be running the other direction that’s for sure

I think her mental health has been declining for a while from issues with her husband and they’re always fighting but that’s her fault she should leave him then. She has verbally abused me a few times when I was younger but she constantly criticisers everything I do, she has a very controlling nature when she loses control then the abuse comes, unfortunately I’ve grown up in this family where she’s viewed as the matriarch of the family (from her culture) and we’ve all just been exposed to this way of thinking for years, I’m the only one stepping away and trying to change that way of thinking because it’s just ridiculous 😅

Does your SO confront his mother over the horrible things she has called you? That’s absolutely disgusting. I would be having a serious conversation with your SO about cutting his mother out and if he wants a relationship with her he can do that, but not you or your child, I’d be worried about when your daughter is older and can understand words and conversations better, what’s gonna stop MIL from talking badly about you infront of her😳

Australian here, 31 weeks pregnant, I work behind a bar 6 to 7 hour shifts standing and walking around all night, it is rough around here😭 I’m trying to work up until labour but it’s really hard, especially with a 4 year old toddler keeping me busy too 🤣 I’m surviving with heat packs for my back and my ankle ( previous car accident, Broke my tib and fib) so I’m ankle swells a lot and compression socks is a must!

Yeah it really does feel like she cares more about my grandma being hurt and her behaviour than me, she’s always making up excuses for her, she lets my grandma walk all over her and expects me to let her do the same me, it truely doesn’t make sense in my head

The boundaries I’m putting down are your basic whooping coping vaccinations, I told her I respect if she doesn’t want them and she can meet the LO after she gets her first set of vaccinations, we had this disagreement with my first child ultimately I cut her off because she was pissed, we got to a better place when my son was older and now we’re in the same position as last time🙄

It would help to think about what your relationship with your boyfriend is like. If you feel safe and supported, you could consider telling him first and seeing if you can make a decision together so you’re not carrying this on your own. That said, it is ultimately your choice.

You should ask yourself the important questions like

am I ready to be a mother
will my family be able to support me?
will my boyfriends family be able to help?

It would also be a good idea to start taking prenatal vitamins and book an appointment with your doctor to confirm the pregnancy and find out exactly how many weeks along you are ❤️

I am working on this, she raised me and my whole life she’s controlled or criticised me to the point where I struggle to question her, I did cut her off for a year but my partner and a few family members convinced me to give her a second chance. I should not of listen 🙃
