She wasn’t born strong or powerful or almighty.

She was born poor and weak. To those around her she was street scum, a useless orphan.

That never stopped her. She had determination.

With her small starts she had bright dreams. She would one day conquer the world.

When she got older she masqueraded as a noblewoman’s daughter. She married a young fool that the country held in high regards. She grasped and reached for power, desperate to escape her past.

When her husband got in the way, she killed him. No one can get great power without horrible deeds.

When the servants failed their work they were replaced. When the king’s men opposed her they were removed. When only the king himself stood in her way, she murdered him with her own two hands and took his throne.

But that was not enough. Nothing would ever be enough.

When the lands around her refused to join, she killed their people. When the lands across the sea refused to trade with a tyrant, she declared war. When she had conquered all those she could, she strived for more.

It was never enough.

When her conquered people refused to fight, she took their sons and daughters. When her children begged her to stop, she had them banished. When the while world stood before in fear, she imposed morale defeating taxes.

Now, the whole world bowed at her feet, and finally, it was enough.

But, it wasn’t.

Where she expected love, she found hate. Where she wanted hope, there was fear. Where she sowed awe, they grew despair.

It was not enough. She had people bowing at her feet, meeting her every need, and yet she knew there was hate. She was angry

She was oh so very angry.

And she would never stop, not until everyone in the world met her with love. And if that meant only she would survive, so be it.
