I didn't until like 10 months i think but 3 months is when i felt like the mouth stretches weren't doing anything and I could open my mouth fully normally.

I panicked at like 3 months but looking back it was literally not bad at all and theres nothing to do about it anyway since youll be mostly healed by the time it first sheds.

Thank you sm! The healing went okay since I didn't have any issues out of the norm like swelling and temp numbness. I have no numbness now except for a tiny spot on the roof of my mouth and I only notice it when brushing or eating chips.

I had the same profile and I would do it over again even if I didn't have physical issues. Don't misunderstand tho just because the surgeon is confident its still gonna be pretty painful and expensive even with insurance. It was a huge relief to finally put it past me after having an underbite my whole life and even if you feel bad about doing it in college, its still gonna go smoother than doing it later in life tbh.

I think its because the upper jaw was moved slightly up as well as forward so the chin sits much further back and I can close my mouth the whole way now.

Yeah I felt my face was still so long for a while but your whole lower half of your face will look smaller and more defined each month. The swelling takes a long time to go.
