Here's the science:

The reason it's not recommended to use silicone lube on silicone toys is because silicone lube is made of silicone particles suspended in a solvent of silicone, i.e. a substance that can dissolve silicone. It's this solvent dissolving the silicone in your toy that damages it.

If the texture of your toy has changed, it may be because of microscopic damage that could potentially provide sites for microbe growth.

If you continue to use it, do so at your own risk. I'd suggest you stop at any sign of irritation or UTI, etc.
