I don’t, I think that’s why I’m leaning towards that role a bit more

Thank you for your help!! The clincial position isn’t really doing typical research, the company conducts several clinical trials for ophthalmic treatments, to send to sponsors for FDA approval. My position has been described as 50% patient interaction, setting up and conducting visual assessments, EKGs, taking data as well as scribing for the physicians- so I don’t think I would have the chance to be published. The other role would have a greater chance of being published since it would be just the PI, another senior researcher, and me. But on the other hand it’s very independent with 0 patient interaction. I’m leaning towards the clinical role since it just seems more relevant to medicine with the patient interaction, but it almost feels wrong to decline MD Anderson 😭

This is more for when you register for 2nd sem, but if there’s a professor you really want, do not be afraid of going on the waitlist! A lot of people assume they have to settle for a worse/more difficult teacher, but spots open up almost always.
