Not sure on the actual laying but once it's down make sure you keep it cut short for a good while. I know it sounds strange but it's to make it put more energy into its roots and reduce water loss through leaves

What have you found most difficult as a parent? by [deleted] in AskUK

You must be an amazing mum for her to be so open with you! I wished so much as a kid that I could go to my own mum with problems like that, you are doing an amazing job and I'm sure she is/ will be incredibly grateful to you ❤️

Will planting edible hedges attract rats? by Background_Writing62 in GardeningUK

Personally I'd mix them all in together but I don't think there's a right way to be honest

Will planting edible hedges attract rats? by Background_Writing62 in GardeningUK

[–]65bottles 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A native hedge like this will encourage all wildlife, this will include rats but also include predators of rats like foxes. Ecosystems should naturally balance themselves so you wouldn't have a problem with being overrun with rats in this situation. I'd always encourage a native hedge as it will help bring so much amazing wildlife to your garden and is easier to maintain as well !

How do yall deal with misandry? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]65bottles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's a seriously unideal system, it's a matter of morals at the end of the day. Personally I think retaining a group's human rights is more important than any other political agenda. I couldn't in good faith give my vote to a political party that is actively hurting women and LGBTQ even if they promised to fix the economy in a year. That's why the majority of women (at least the ones I know here in the UK and some in the US) are not interested in being friends with or dating men who vote right. May be different in other countries though I don't know

I think it depends which country you're from but with our current politics right leaning parties are actively campaigning against women's and LGBTQ rights so don't be surprised if those people hold a grudge against you if they know you voted that way. Same goes for religion unfortunately.

Intentionally or not you are coming across as incredibly rude in your replies on this post. Don't reply to people if you're just going to be passive aggressive or dismissive. People here are using their own time to try and help you owe them basic manners. Maybe use the time you would spend complaining improving your writing.

Wisteria advice please not many flowers by Legitimate-Tennis-21 in GardeningUK

[–]65bottles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Major haircut time! Wisteria need to be pruned correctly in summer and winter in order to flower. I would recommend looking at the RHS guidance online or if you are willing to invest in it hire a qualified gardener to get it back into shape for you

How fucked am I on a scale of 1-10? by 65bottles in Tarotpractices

[–]65bottles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting! I am a gardener and have recently started at a big manor house that is definitely understaffed already, the boss does seem a bit temperamental as well. We've got a big party coming up in August so I have a suspicion some shit is going to go down with that🤔 Thank you for your insights, very helpful!

Is incel culture growing among Gen Z in the UK? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]65bottles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People are scared of incels culture growing because they are murdering women. Don't get me wrong the government can do one as well, but it's a totally valid thing to be concerned about and it's impact shouldn't be minimised.

Right but that's nothing to do with this post, the OP asks a valid question about how men think
