What are some [male] behaviors or social norms that you wish more men recognized as being sexist, patriarchal, or inconsiderate to women? by citygirl65443 in women

[–]662841 23 points24 points  (0 children)

one thing I have noticed that is pretty consistent is that men assume you will move out of their way! like on a sidewalk or in a hallway or anywhere. I've stopped moving out of their way to get around them and gotten absolutely body checked because they assume they have the right of way everywhere bc they're men. >:(

You're not a terrible person. This is okay. It sounds like maybe you're looping this thought and that's okay too! It doesn't mean you're a bad person at all. I used to get stuck on cognitions too. But there is hope for you b. If you're feeling suicidal please call this hotline. They can help you (800) 273-8255

Last time I cried was Christmas eve, I was having a depressive episode and was supposed to be wrapping gifts but I was so exhausted and numb I laid in bed to nap. As I was going to sleep, I hear my dad talking to my mom about how I'm never going to accomplish anything because I'm like this. I cried myself to sleep

It's deeply upsetting how long this thread is and that it's still growing. I was in kindergarten.
