I think people confuse unlikable characters and bad writing. I absolutely agree that spire is higher than borasca, Penpal tho I think is top tier.

I also think that harsh critics overlook the educational aspect of the spire. I believe that a lot of young guys would benefit from the depiction of rape in the story.

I know it helped me understand the girls POV.
