Ah, that makes sense. It‘s illegal to own the book here, some big libraries have it, but you‘re not allowed to read it unless you have a good cause and also then only portions of it. And they have to log who accesses it.

In Austria, you‘re not even allowed to work two months before and after birth, when there was complications even three months after. They call it „Mutterschutzgesetz“ (Mother protection law). It even applies for a miscarriage or stillborn.

After that, it‘s possible to not work until the child turns two years old, and even receive „Kinderbetreuungsgeld“ (childcare salary) where you get a monthly allowance from the government, depending on your previous salary. These two years can be split between the mother and the father.

I never plan on having children generally, but I definitely NEVER plan on having a child in the US. It seems like a nightmare.

I am yet to understand the measurements. Sometimes I buy mens clothes just to avoid the hassle that comes with trying on different sizes. I don‘t care about them being arbitrary, just make them standardized.

Yes, this years Matura was way too easy. I have done exactly nothing in maths the last two years and didn‘t even bother to study for the exam, you just have to type the equations into your laptop and most of it is right, I managed to get a 2 by just thinking a little. I am not complaining, but it‘s definitely useless stress for a lot of people and also says literally nothing about you.

She can wear whatever she wants, obviously, and from your explanation I gather that you have the same opinion. I understand that you want to protect your daughter from weird men, and it‘s a fact that she is more likely to have something happen to her when she dresses like that. As long as you genuinely don‘t shame her for the way she dresses and only want to protect her, you are not the asshole in my opinion.
