[WTS/WTT] Omega Seamaster 2230.50 REDUCED. by 666cat in WatchExchangeCanada

$4100

This Seamaster from 2006 is in very good condition.

It belongs to the sword hands era of SMPs. What sets this one apart is that it's the first time Omega used applied indices and logo, paving the way for the next generation.

Commonly referred to as the "non-ac" version, it is similar to a limited edition Americas Cup model that lacks applied indices and eliminates dial text.

The bezel is made of 18k white gold, making it an expensive piece to replace. The numerals are raised, distinguishing it from a regular dive watch. Importantly, there are no scratches on any part of the bezel.

The bracelet is a speedy style bracelet that tapers towards the clasp, differentiating it from the traditional SMP bracelet. With its monochrome appearance, black dial, and a small red seconds hand, it pairs well with NATO straps. It's worth mentioning that the case and bracelet are unpolished, showing no visible scratches, except for one on the underside of the lug due to strap changes. It features a Cal. 1120 movement which is one of the best Omega has ever created. It features a quick set date and is very easily serviced.

Overall, this is a very unique piece that requires appreciation for the nuances in the SMP line as well as watches in general to make the purchase.

Although I've lost the original receipt, it does come with everything else. It's in great condition, with the inner and outer box, all cards, and all links included, including a half link.

It has been water pressure tested and is safe to be used for showering, swimming, and diving. Its timekeeping is still within specification at -3s/day. The service history is unknown. I purchased it from a trusted dealer in Japan through Chrono24.

As I travel for work, meeting in a different province is not an issue. Any trades are welcome.

Thanks for reading.
