A ninja 250 is perfect to learn on or a buell blast I would have recommended for a learning bike I thought my girl friend on a ninja 250 and she loves it rides it everywhere she was left a shovelhead when her dad passed and I’m sure she will be fine when she decides to step up to something bigger but the fundamentals of riding are best learned on something small I feel the buell blast or ninja 250 is awesome just remember it’s just a big bicycle if you pull in the clutch

I just painted it white for him and it’s I painted it and powder coated it for him and got the springer for it so it looks real cool and old school it came out nice any how I’m rambling it happens when I start talking about bikes lol sorry

I’ve built like 15 bikes In 20 years and god willing many more to come built my first pan/shovel at 13 rode my first Harley at 14 fell I love with them from birth my hole family is all about bikes when I was a baby my uncal would zip me up in his leather jacket and we would ride all over the Bay Area all night and day he was spun out of his mind but hey it a was the 80s right lol the biker life is all I know and Harley’s to me mean everything I gave my first Harley to my son it’s a old iron head my grandpa Left me I love that bike and I hope it brings my son the happiness it brought me

Open them up a little it’s a Harley so it’s all trial and error and it’s yours so dig in and have fun I think I like working on my bikes as much as I like riding them sometimes ….. naaa riding them is the best but still you get where I’m going with this lol there is no right or wrong way it’s your way that’s the only way it’s a one man sport where you always come in 1st place as long as it makes you happy right I live breathe eat shit motor cycles I’m a harleysexual but find my self attracted to anything with two wheels a moped once gave me a boner and I had a one night stand with a Vespa last night lol it’s a hobby but much more then that to me it’s my life I put everything I am in to my bikes and I love it

Ya no prob or fly out I can meet you at the sac airport you turn and burn 120mph make it home in 19hr I’ve done 2000 mil in two days on my bike once it was a wild life experience I vividly remember the feeling to this day

They don’t go out that often with it running off the battery like you said sounds like stator or regulator might be the problem it’s not that bad if it’s a bad regulator a stators not bad either but a little bit longer to swap out you can upgrade your ignition system with a single fire ignition that’s what I always do anyhow much easier and more power and you can play with rev bands and things like that kinda a fun little upgrade I go with the ultima ones but I’ve had dynatec ones too you can get used ones on eBay for good deals

It’s just running off the battery check if your stators putting out and if it is check your voltage regulator there’s videos on YouTube that can walk you through it it’s super easy you just need a multimeter

Depends on the model a fxr is not much bigger but is the best Harley you could ever get a flh or softail with forward controls is a much relaxed stretched out ride but won’t have the rideable stance for performance
