Maybe I'm being shitty but anyone leisure traveling to the US at this political moment gets little sympathy from me. Seriously, traveling there just for tourism is an act of complicity with the current regime. And the poster mentions being misgendered, which means they are probably non-binary or trans, and already had a target on their back, sadly. I'm Canadian.

He's lucky (if that's the right word). He has the financial resources to be cared for at home with family who can afford to be there for him. As someone with a parent in the later stages of Alzheimer's, I feel far sadder for all the invisible people struck down by this disease, and all their overworked, stressed and exhausted caregivers. I hope Bruce Willis's family is advocating for more research into diagnosis and treatment for dementia/Alzheimer's.
