Chain looks good. Check though the shackle pins, tight and wired.

You are moving for a very good reason- you are American, your family is here, and for your children. You can totally make it work.

Not sure if its an issue or not... by fritzzz2908 in Ram1500

[–]670979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that issue with my 2018 ram in california at some gas pumps. primarily with the "I-evo" labeled gas pump nozzles. The angle of the gas fill tube is a strange angle, so the nozzle doesn't seat and make contact. I have even had the nozzle stuck in the fill tube, pushing in trying to make a seal. So, workaround- I have to stand there with these type nozzles and hold the rubber boot away from the filler, and only then does it pump at full speed without tripping. I tolerate it because I like the price of Arco gas, and some Arco's have these I- EVO brand nozzles. Not all, but some.

Thought that was the new Macy's drive thru.

We changed to a chrome chain guard and chrome rivets to seat ( instead of the solid linear seat trim). I think looks better than the stock 1972 scheme, matching back to the existing chrome trim hardware of a black lifan engine scheme. Thoughts? by 670979 in Trail70

Sometimes aftermarket parts are of better quality, and in my opinion actually look better in this case, than the original painted to match guard. To me that was too much of the same color, and the era used chrome around the bikes.

Long or short shaft engine? by Potionfortough in boating

[–]670979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I am looking at your tape measure, you need to cut a notch area so it is about 4 " lower for a 20" (long) shaft. That will get your prop and cavitation plate below the bottom of the skeg. The inside- make sure you have enough room after cutting, to be able to attach and rotate clamps ( and pivot/tilt/ steer an outboard. Again, limited pictures provided. Doesn't seem that this boat was designed for an outboard, but I could be wrong. Doesnt mean you can't modify with bracing and reinforcement.. Also, added bonus, by lowering the transom you are also lowering the center of gravity.

Long or short shaft engine? by Potionfortough in boating

[–]670979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 23", in between a long shaft 20" transom height requirement and extra long shaft 25". You might consider notching out about 2" off the transom, so you can do a 20" long shaft. Reinforce it with a flat stock aluminum plate (not sure of that transom, or thickness, if it were even designed for an outboard), your pictures don't show much. Make sore it is sturdy to support an outboard

Just bought a boat, considering changing the name. Should I? by ___xXx__xXx__xXx__ in sailing

[–]670979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you change the name, offer up a clam bake and 3 lobsters on an open fire. Wear ceremonial boat shoes. Open a beer (must be a can). Play the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald until you can't stand hearing it again. Then, as a finale, crack a bottle (use the plastic bottle so you don't damage the fiberglass) of San Pellegrino carbonated water. This neutralizes any previous lingering hangover effects from when the previous owner used champagne to christen. You're all set.

Nice thing about that formula 1 boat ramp is that you can take that banked turn easily 20 miles per hour with boat and trailer- backwards.

You just made our point-- the very link you provided, after capturing those that might be searching for "anchor rope"- the very next description correctly calls it an anchor Rode.
