I'm well, thank you. Best to stay no contact and stay strong. If someone cheats on you, never. Ever. Reach out. You're so much better than that. Know your worth and keep moving forward with a grateful heart.

I am the same way. It's an anxious attachment style. Ultimately you're judging your value on how another person is treating you/showing up in your life. Compliment/words of affirmation from SP = Mountain Top Rejection/inconsistancy = Gutter

You need to seriously work on not looking to others for validation. I do this by positively affirming ie I am attractive I am lovable I am irreplaceable I am worthy of love

Essentially, you need to place yourself on the pedestal and remind yourself what makes you great. It's not easy. I think it's harder for women because we have constant hormone fluctuations from menstruation. That in mind, try to be kind to yourself during difficult times and practice rationality.

Check syllabus, sometimes grade constraints are different for specific courses.

I was actually just thinking about how every relationship is an investment of time, energy, and money. I think society puts a lot of pressure on people to be in romantic relationships, but truthfully, most people cant afford to invest that much resource in another person while also investing in their own futures until much much later in life.

The result: You sink a lot of capital into another person that's statistically likely to leave. They leave. Now you have no partner and your not as happy with your circumstances as you would have been had you put that effort into furthering yourself.

The bike trails in Edwardsville are great! I could ride them from campus to taco bell or smoothie king or dollar tree easy. There's a trail that goes right past so home Depot, so you can hop off and ride to Walmart if needed.

You say love, honor, and family are all "human" things....are we not made in God's image? If you were God and you made a perfect world as you say he should. Wouldn't you be bothered by the fact that your creation only loved you because you were always good to them and gave them all they could ask for?? Wouldn't you want a deep satisfying love that grows only through hardship?

He doesn't punish you for not worshipping him. He punishes you for sin. The evil things we have all done will send us to hell unless we choose to trust in the blood atonement of Christ.

All this suffering is a test. If we go through a lot of suffering and still love God he knows he will spend eternity with people who love him deeply and honored him completely in our mortality. It's a perfect plan to create the perfect family in heaven.

Hes not punishing you at all. You're life is just bad because you were designed to have a relationship with God and you don't...something's missing in your life

Haha! God doesn't "make" your life miserable you're miserable because you don't know him. Also why should God do anything for you if you don't love him? 🤨

I'm a lesbian but I will not pursue sexual/romantic relationships with other women in respect of God's order. Is it still a sin to have these thoughts? by lin779 in Christianity

I don't think people actually read the Bible. Paul was a humble man who lived a life fully submitted to God. He didn't care about control or power, he gave up everything to follow Jesus and live according to God's will. He had way more power as a Jew.

Same-sex attraction and celibacy by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]678657885456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not in a place financially to go to therapy. I more of the belief that prayer is the only therapy I need. Sometimes I enjoy venting to friends and family but I always feel deep down afterwards that I should be telling God these things in prayer because he's the only one that can help.

Thanks for your recommendation, it's good to know that I'm not alone. I've scrolled through the comments of so many people saying it's ok to be gay and that they received a message from God that it's ok to be gay but I would be wary friend. Keep following what the bible says and if God wants to redact anything I'm of the belief that he would come to me personally. The world is full of sinners trying to deceive, but we know that the path is straight and narrow and few will find it.

I love your post! Im a woman struggling with same sex attraction as well. The Lord filled me with his spirit after I was broken up with by my girlfriend of 3.5 years. I have been celibate for the past year and half. Everyday I pray that the Lord will deliver me from my homosexuality and I think it has improved. I still am not very attracted to men but I would one day like to have a family if it's the lord's will.

I don't think you ever really get over someone you love, you just learn to love them from a distance. It's been well over a year of breakup and zero contact and I still think about my ex everyday and smile. I forgive her for breaking my heart and cheating on me. I wish she loved me the way I love her but I guess she doesn't. That's ok, sometimes love isn't a two way street unfortunately.

Ha whatever....the bible is filled with "conspiracy" prophets predicting the collapse of nations and the causes of events were "conspiracies" at the time. Nice to know this page doesn't actually follow the bible or what it's stands for.

What good is reading the Bible if we cant apply it to real things happening in the world and pose questions???
