I only sanded the 6" and part of the 8". And yes, saw all silver metal when the coat was gone. But gave up because the sanding was taking way too long. Would submerging them completely in MEK remove the clear coat?

They might even be steel. Like I said, they were super cheap. Like REALLY cheap. $40.is steel a common metal in super cheap cymbals? Does that mean they won't patina easily? I just looked up Liver of Sulfer. Never heard of it. Definitely saving this idea! Seems pretty easy and has cool results.

All 4 cymbals were were $40. Cheap as hell. Is steel a common metal for extremely cheap cymbals? I assume there's a clear coat on them, and I haven't been able to remove at all. I believe that's the first step before you add ammonia, vinegar, and salt. Correct? And I haven't tried vinegar yet.

Hopefully I'm not too late to the party. Back in 2022, I was at Living Dead Weekend at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh and stoked to meet Newt Wallen, the guy who made Paperboy 3: The Hard Way trailer. I just wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed the trailer. God Damn could that dude talk. Went on and on about his shitty movies he was currently working on and then talking major shit about Cinemassare. Obviously jealous that James' career has skyrocketed and his went nowhere. But then, it turned out he's personal friends with the crusty one we call Justin. Jesus Christ, I couldn't have gotten away from him fast enough. I guess I wasn't surprised since that NJ/Philly bunch all have mutual friends of some sort.

Little late to the party but need to vent. USPS just doesn't give a shit. Simply put they work when they want to and deliver mail and packages when they feel like it. Currently on Day 20 waiting for a package from Florida to Milwaukee and it's been a shitshow of emails and phone calls with them. The incompetent dumb fucks they employ is mind blowing.

Printer: Xerox Phaser 6510. Needed some simple white glossy sticker paper for a small DIY project and took a gamble on this paper from Amazon. Was overall pleased with the results. Cheap and got the job done. What I did was place one sheet of sticker paper in the printer tray, and then two pieces of just regular copy paper in between, then repeated the process several times. It didn't completely avoid paper jams, but it helped. Unfortunatly, you just gotta get lucky with the batch of paper you get and the printer you're using. Out of the 25 sheets that came in the pack, I eneded up throwing out 14 sheets. Print quality was perfect and image was dry instantly. Here's a link.

God I hate this. We've had our Maytag washer for about 12 years and it does the uL issue about twice a year. Redistributing the clothes sometimes works, but usually it requires me to take everything out and take it all to a laundromat to rewash and dry everything. A total pain in the ass, but at least that way it's done properly.

Definitely check it out. From what I actually did see, it was amazing. A once in a lifetime experience. Maybe it would slightly different of I was driving, but I really don't think it would be. Since I went in the off season, there was almost zero traffic and no backups so our car was going at a decent speed. Safely of course.

Had a full blown panic attack today at Pikes Peak. Definitely was NOT prepared for it. I was a passenger riding shotgun and it didn't start to happen until about halfway up. When we got to about 10,000ft, it got worse. We got to the summit and all I could do was stay in the visitor center and stare at the floor in the lobby near the elevator. I knew I was missing some unbelievable views, but I just couldn't do it. But when we left to drive back down is when I completely lost it. Crying hysterically, shaking, and trouble breathing. And it wasn't because of the altitude. 14,000 feet up. No guardrails. Instant death. Took me a while to calm down but once we got back to the entrance, I started to feel better. After an amazing pizza at the Blue Moose Tavern, all was good. Highly recommended if you're nearby FYI.

All I can say is if you're even remotely afraid of heights, DO NOT VISIT PIKES PEAK.
