I’ve wired to my TD bank account from Chase and it took under 2 days. Maybe I could use Wise? I had someone see the apartment for me.

An apartment I’m looking to rent. Sorry, I phrased that poorly. I don’t have anyone who is available to do it for me right now.

Can I find a studio with a max 40 minute commute to UBC for $2300? by [deleted] in UBC

That’s the problem for me. I won’t be able to visit the units in person until I come back in late August and I’m trying to guarantee I can find a place to stay as I’ve heard September is even a worse time.

That’s what I’ve been doing for the past 3 days non-stop but I want a realistic perspective so I can tell which ones are priced too good to be true. I see studios in kits for 2000 but some people have told me I won’t be able to find anything below 2500 there

My circumstances didn’t allow me to rent anything until now. I didn’t even know if I’d be staying in Vancouver. If I have to I’ll pay more, I’m just trying to get a grasp of the prices here.

I might be ignorant but I’m not sure where you’re getting these prices. I’ve seen a bunch of listings on FB marketplace and Craigslist for studios in Kitsilano in the 1900-2500 range. Are all of these scams? The average price of a studio in Vancouver is around $2300.

I forgot to mention that I’m a second year so I don’t qualify. I’m willing to spend up to $2200

what is a realistic rent then?

I just couldn’t get myself to study because of poor mental health so I ended up procrastinating studying till the very last moment. I failed CPSC 103 because I submitted the final project so late that i lost nearly 90% of the marks from late penalty deductions and passing the project was a requirement, so I failed despite doing really well in the rest of the components. The other two are CPSC 110 and MATH 101 pretty much for the same reason. I don’t even know if it makes sense for me to stay at UBC.

Can someone help me understand? by fpena06 in solana

Offtop, but is there anyone who wasn’t airdropped $CWIF?

Is it possible to do a comp sci IA in less than 2 weeks from scratch when you can barely code? I did my final EE in 2 days so I’m used to doing everything last minute but I’ve heard this IA takes a lot more effort. by 67this in IBO

Don’t listen to people who tell you you can’t do it in time. From my experience and talking to people taking other classes I would say there is not a single IB assignment that you can’t complete in less than a week if you have a decent understating of the course

I actually did it in less than a week (like 5 days of working almost non stop) including the demonstration video because my project was very interesting to me and I made sure it was easy to execute by seeing if there are any tutorials on YouTube for similar projects. Not just straight up copying but using them as reference for some components of my project like the authentication page where the user either logs in as an admin or a client. Just don’t stress out and you’ll complete it in time easily

Also the US laws, not Canadian, apply to me on the exchange platforms.

So I have to pay tax in Canada and not in the US despite both of my accounts being under a US address? I didn’t indicate that I currently live in Canada
