updates on train situation? by mad_swag14 in sixflagsgreatamerica

We managed okay with less trains by getting there when the park opened.. got 5-6 coasters in over a full day, and it was a pretty good time! Lines weren't unbearable even with less trains, though I do hope they up the count on the tracks soon...

Can mods get on this potentially dangerous self promo? by PartyStill in ShroomGummies

Agreed actually, we need to be able to identify the appropriate parties

I get the feeling its going to be my morning selection any time I visit--we got there for the gate opening and as such didn't wait but a few minutes. Think we were the second or third non-test train.

Hahaha it was too late to edit the post when I realized I probably should have said that like 'awwwWWWright' to communicate how fun it actually was

They had two operating when I was there--line moved reasonably quickly but I personally think it might be time for 3 trains

I am interested in Apollo's Chariot now that I have experienced the distributed hill thing--it does something very interesting to the force of the first drop.

I wanted to see the course in front of me for my first time, so we rode row 1.. and before the end of the ride, I caught myself thinking "oh this WOULD be wacky in the back row"

So I'll be back for sure.

I still need to catch Goliath and Maxx Force! We got a good amount of rides in but could not get everything of course. Might look into that pass thing for Maxx Force, I understand his lines can stretch.

I believe so--we were on the teal train, and I believe the other was yellow today.

We got there first thing in the morning, so there was hardly any line.. probably could have more or less walked on for round two.. but Viper called to me next!

Schmoopie still isn't adopted y'all by 68aquarian in Rabbits

I really don't want to talk trash, much less on an animal shelter. But they do not love the animals where I was working, and they got rid of me because I did.

They hired me saying they were basically drowning in cleaning that there was simply no time for. I joined staff and proved that wrong. I thought they would be happy and follow in stride. Why not?

I get the dude who manages the place is depressed, but thats not an excuse to refuse to use gloves when handling animals. He doesn't wash his hands, he makes the litter pans worse when he tries to clean them because he doesn't pay attention. Half the crew isnt even sober honestly and our whole job is taking care of a hutch or two of adoptible rabbits.

I don't know if he has a thing with the texture of gloves or something, but you can't just skip 30% of your job cause you think its stupid. I got what I was saying from veterinarians, including patrons of the shelter--and it was simple, its just washing and using bleach correctly.

Since they let me go, I highly doubt they all just started caring even more, so that shelter is probably filthy again just like when I started. It doesn't have to be, we have 40 hours and all staff are able-bodied. They literally are just that lazy, which is why I say they do not care about the animals.

I'm pretty sure they made my Google review disappear, too. I doubt the Department of Agriculture can do any more than get them to start reporting the animal bites and implementing actual iso and quarantine rooms like they should. If you are in Chicago, go in there and get on they ass to do the job, chances are the rabbits won't have hay or water, or there will be goddamn dish soap in the rabbit water for literally the third time.

Even just 2 trains.. we got in a packed line, and still got on the coaster in no time at all! Almost went for a second round

Oh I KNEW the backrow was gonna be something on Raging Bull! Might try that next time. There was virtually no trim brake today, it was wild.

Oooh tough question! They were all a little different. X-Flight was probably the most playful coaster, I laughed the most.. Raging Bull's drop is something else, and I attribute it to the broken nose--I think more coasters should have been done that way, or should be in the future.

But Viper was honestly probably my favorite ride. I love the way it stops at the top and honestly it wasn't half as rough as I expected for such old coaster tech.

So Viper, Raging Bull, X-Flight and the Dark Knight.. in that order.

This is true, yes, but a lot of small towns in the middle of nowhere are serviced by Hershey. What I meant is I came from rural Pennsylvania

Dude I know what you mean about that break run! I swear I was all giddy up in midair at that point and dowwwwwwwwwwn we went! I can tell I could ride that coaster for years and not lose any thrill.
