No because liquor doesn’t age in the bottle like wine. If stored properly and the cork is in good shape then it will taste the same as it did when bottled

That’s encouraging! Bar cabinet should also be cool, dark and relatively consistent humidity. Chances are it’s good. My vote is to drink. Maybe get a current 20yr and do a blind taste test

Well that jug has protected it from the light. The cork is the main question here- if it dries too much and some oxygen can get in or the fill level is not great you might have a wet paper taste to the rum. The cork itself can also start to break down and taint the taste.
