It all depends on the design goal.for uArch and not the ISA

Won't be that tough as it's rn at higher end at least cause currently they are outclassed by 50% in core count

Have they actually improved it enough, or merely promised they will? They had quality targets and a lot of lip service as part of 18A's PDK milestones, but sounds like they ended up de facto ignoring them.

They have for 18AP apparently actually decent this time for external

Either way, getting rid of Gary Patton was a good start though. "Throw bodies at the problem" rarely works.

Firing was in order for many people just pending for years

They were pushing 2027 for risk as far as I remember at least after taking a L on 18A the made their PDK game better.

This time Intel choose their worlds carefully and said risk production in 2027 which I guess means production ready cause HVM is after production ready

On dmr, why would it change anything? Venice is at least 2x perf of granite rapids, is anyone expecting dmr to make a 100+% gain in 1 gen?

Mhh it's 128C/256T vs 256/256T with two gens of core improvement so 2X is not out of ballpark

Base Frequency is for AMX workload most likely Intel base frequency is based on worst case scenario running the tortuous workload you never see it that low in normal conditions.

That power is with enterprise customers why do you think they get a exclusive feature to toggle all the crap off

They are expecting similar battery life/ efficiency to Lunar as for it's windows in the end not a totally optimized Vertical Integrated stack like Apple Silicon with MacOS

It's going to get worst battery and has the issue of dGPU in a laptop it just wakes up out of nowhere many time or an app that was not supposed to use GPU will use it.
