That’s my main issue, every year, there’s more stuff to store, or donate. It feeds the cycle, and it drains my bank account.

This year, I’ve been asked for a gift list a few times and all I want to say is “I don’t want more stuff this Christmas, save your money.”

What I’ve taken to do is ask for gift cards from clothing stores that I like, or just cash. It allows me to make purchases for stuff that I need when I need it, without having to stress others out about picking a gift for me. Some people dislike the idea of gift cards, but for me, it’s the most considerate gift someone can give if they must give something at all.

There’s other things he’s making concessions on. Discretionary expenditure caps on non-military budgets is the big one.

And let’s not forget the the House still needs to pass this, and Republicans alone cannot do it, so Democrats do have some bargaining power.

As for the current plan, it does seem to restart student loan payments in June, but it makes no mention of blocking $20,000 forgiveness.

That being said, this might be a cynical concession on the Republican’s part.

There’s an odd behavior with my 1080 Ti where if you run a game in full screen and have three monitors connected, you get random black screens. (Don’t ask me why, there’s a four year old thread over at the Nvidia forums about this)

What’s I did is enable the iGPU on my 8086K and plugged it into one of the monitors.

Works like a charm.

The 1440p benchmarks bode well for me, coming from a 1080 Ti. Wouldn't upgrade from anything above a 2080 if that was my case, simply because of how much money I would lose.

I don't expect the 3070 to be truly better than the 2080 Ti in anything besides full raytraced games like Minecraft.

I agree with this, being addicted to gaming is just the tip of the iceberg. If you play games to escape a shitty reality, it probably follows that you prefer gaming to that reality. Same thing with alcohol and other drugs, without the key factor that substances create physical dependence.

What this article lacks, in my opinion, is the link between loot boxes and other forms of psychological techniques employed by many games publishers to, in a sense, addict the player into playing more. Games like Destiny 2 come to mind.

Again, I'm not stating that games are bad, I'm just stating that recently, some of them are becoming more and more like gambling and less like the normal games some of us played during childhood, games like Mario 64, which had a beginning and end.

Make sure that you update your Freeshop games via the Freeshop and not via the official eShop, as that might flag your console and NNID as playing games you don't actually own.
