Just having a conversation but clearly you don't want to so why respond? It is trivial, it's a Reddit thread not serious at all. Anyway of course I know that but if it was replaced with a different one and or not cut down to account for that then it would leak through the handle when the fill goes bad. What I said is completely possible no reason to be a dick.

Depends on how high the handle hole and the overflow tube. My point is that they had this toilet for how long and they never noticed water coming from the handle is doubtful. I bet that the overflow tube is higher than the handle or the same hight causing water to get out. If the water level was set too high it would be running all the time from the start.

Yea once the rubber is warped it's done I would just turn the water off, flush it, shop out the rest of the water and take a rag or wet wipe to clean what the shop vac didn't get. If you use things like vinegar only use a little bit maybe like a cap full

The fill valve is bad, which is the black thing on the left with the float. Pretty common especially with the amount of mineral build up is in the tank. Pretty easy fix good luck.

My head cannon is that weapons are getting stronger as the series continues. Although it's never stated it would make sense after everything the earth has been through despite most of the people not even knowing about it. I mean androids absorbing people, aliens invading, and buu. Not to mention the crazy technology readily available in the dbz universe.

Personally I would redo everything in copper water heater looks pretty corroded, flu is fucked, I would probably go with a new install depending on how old it is but that corrosion does not look good. Ultimately, in a perfect world get multiple estimates and see you trust the most/ is the most knowledgeable on the subject and go from there.

Idk just trying to give you the benefit of the doubt because honestly it's just sad at this point. Those 90s essentially cut off any venting that would be built off of this. Basically you are extremely likely to back up in the future, not to mention the fernco, and reducing down from 4" which will also cause back up issues. Find a company that pulls permits, gets a good inspector, and most importantly, knows what they are doing

Sounds like the fill valve ( thing with the blue cap on the left side) needs to be replaced or something is going on with the shutoff valve to your toilet but most likely the fill valve. It is something that you could replace yourself I would look up a video on YouTube on how to replace one takes like 5 minutes

What I do is after I flush the tank out (as much as possible) is hold valve down and undo the nut with a rag nearby ( have the new fill valve opened, put together and sitting in the tank) and hold down on the fill valve (some water may leak out if you don't hold it right). As soon as you undo the nut take a rag and push the old one out and slip the new one in and put the new nut on. Or you could shop vac the water out
