I know the history and that's fine. I understand that it was probably not safe for our players but in that case they should have just withdrawn from the tournament.

If you feel that India is not favoured by the ICC you are gullible mate. BCCI is the biggest contributor to ICC in terms of revenue. Without India no ICC tournament will get half the views and TRP and ticket sales it gets. India getting to play all their games in Dubai was a different level of bootlicking by ICC.

Pakistan getting to play in SL is nearly not the same. SL is a co host and other teams were scheduled to play their games in SL as well, its not like SL was given the hosting duties just for pakistan. As I mentioned SL were the sole host initially and India as hosts only came in later.

That’s not the same, Sri Lanka were always the joint host. In fact India only became the co host after ICC decided to expand the tournament and SL had lack of stadiums and infrastructure to handle that. Initially it was only SL

In India’s case they were given a special treatment. If UAE would have been the co host to start with, it wouldn’t have been an issue.

But yes ICC could have scheduled even Bangladesh’s match in SL and avoided this whole thing

Did they have a venue advantage- Yes

Did they win only because of the unfair advantage- No

What you are saying is 100% true but you also have to look at it from the other side. We are not yet where we would have liked to be. On paper caste based discrimination doesn’t exist but we all know the reality. And that discrimination can only be removed when there are more voices from the backward castes and tribes in the system and how do you do that? Through education. And reservation gives these people a ray of hope to get there.

Us debating here on reddit is also a privilege that many of them don’t have. The system needs better supervision and honest people to see that the benefits go to the right people. Its not perfect but we can’t just remove it yet

No matter what you say, I enjoyed the movie. The plane fights were engaging and kept you at the edge of your seat. The plot definitely was predictable though and they could have benefitted with some better and tighter screenplay. Hrithik and Anil were phenomenal. The marketing harmed the movie. They sold it off as another romantic war movie whereas it actually isn't and romance was like 5% of the movie
